Atlas Or Bust

Y/N POV

The world comes back. I look around to find myself in a bedroom. 

Y/N: "Where am I?"

I throw my legs over the side of the bed and get to my feet. 

Y/N: "What happened?"

I think. Everything then hits me. I sigh sadly.

Y/N: "So my own father tried to kill me. Real father of the year."

I walk to the bathroom. I lean to the mirror getting nervous.

Y/N: "Here we go."

I grab my glasses but freeze hesitating. I try to delay it but the anticipation proves too much. I lower my glasses. My gaze trails to my eye. The vines have now consumed my eyes socket and are now reaching up to my eyebrow. I do a scan. My heart aches.

Y/N: "Virus rewrite at... sixty three percent. Time remaining... three weeks."

I grab the edge of the sink. My grip tightens as I think about the future. My mind stacks on the recent truth about my origins. I grit my teeth before punching out my mirror. I sigh calming down.

Y/N: "I'm running out of time. I need to destroy the pillar, and quickly.  I can't afford anymore setbacks. It's Atlas... or death."

I put my glasses back on and exit the bedroom. I walk down the hallway where I see everyone sitting in the living room.

Y/N: "How long was I out?"

I'm tackled into a hug by Ruby.

Ruby: "I'm so glad you're okay."

I half smile. I quickly lose it.

Y/N: "So what's the plan now Rubes?"

She lets go.

Ruby: "We made it to Argus. We're now only an ocean away from Atlas. So I vote we head to the local airfield and see if we can secure a bullhead."

Y/N: "Then come on."

I walk out of the house towards the local airfield. Eventually the others join me.

Ruby: "What's the rush Y/N?"

Y/N: "I'm the one the enemy is after."

Jaune: "Salem."

Y/N: "Yeah. She likely already knows I'm here. That means she'll be sending something to come and get me. So we need to leave as soon as possible. Because the longer we stay here, the more danger we put Argus in."

Yang: "He's got a point there. I doubt Salem would have any problem brining it to the ground just to get to Y/N."

Ruby: "Then to the airfield, post haste!!!"

We double our pace. Eventually we arrive at our destination.

Guard1: "Halt."

Guard2: "You're-"

Y/N: "Listen, it's an emergency. We need to get to Atlas and fast."

Guard1: "I'm sorry. But due to what happened at Beacon. We're putting harsher rules to any bullheads that travel between kingdoms. But you can book a bullhead. You just need to-"

Y/N: "Look. I know you're just doing your job. But this' a dire situation. One that'll decide the fate of the world. So unless you wanna be the ones responsible for dooming the world, I'd advise you step aside and let us take a bullhead."

They look at each other. They then look back at me.

Guard2: "Wait here and we'll let you speak to our commanding officer."

They walk away.

Ruby: "Don't you think you were being a little forceful?"

I look at her.

Y/N: "Nonsense. These guys are supposed to be stubborn. Just apply some pressure and they'll fold to you."
