Y/N POV

I lean back in my seat waiting for someone to say something. It finally comes.

Ruby: "So where exactly have you been?"

Ozpin: "Resting, slowly getting my strength back."

Jaune: "What happened to you after Beacon?"

He looks down.

Ozpin: "When chaos fell I was overwhelmed. I sincerely thought I was about to meet my end. But by some miracle I survived. It however was not without payment."

He pulls up his left sleeve, revealing robotics.

Nora: "What happened after that?"

Ozpin: "I was found and flown somewhere safe. Ever since I've been resting, slowly recovering."

He lowers his sleeve. 

Ozpin: "Once I had my full strength I set out to find you kids. I had heard reports of a group heading towards Haven. So I made my way there too. Somewhere along the way I bumped into Miss Xiao Long and Miss Schnee."

Weiss: "Teaming up we continued our way to Haven until we arrived and found you guys having fun."

Yang: "But what about you guys? What were you doing at Haven?"

Ruby: "We were searching for answers."

She looks at me.

Ruby: "Speaking of. What'd you find out from the relic?"

Everyone now looks at me.

Y/N: "I know how to bring the pillar of eternity online."

They become shocked.

Yang: "What's the pillar of eternity?"

Ozpin: "A machine with the ability to give anyone the ability to be everywhere at any given point. There's also the added benefit of having control to anything electronic in the world."

Weiss: "So if they wanted. Someone could send the world back to the dark ages with just a thought."

Ozpin: "Correct."

Qrow: "I knew it was dangerous. But holy shit. We need to find the pillar."

Jaune: "What else did you find out?"

Yang: "Please tell me you know its location."

Y/N: "I just might."

They become filled with hope.

Y/N: "The person that was on the relic said when the pillar was destroyed, its parts were scattered throughout the world."

Nora: "Well so much for that."

Y/N: "But. The main piece never moved. It stayed in the same place all this time."

Weiss: "Where is it?"

Y/N: "Atlas."

Qrow: "Then we have our destination. To Atlas."

Getting off our current train we hop aboard one bound for Atlas. As the others wait I head to the bathroom. Discarding my glasses I spot the vines have now mostly consumed my eye. I scan. I do a double take seeing the result.

Y/N: "That's impossible. Thirty four percent? It shouldn't be that high yet. Not at least for another week. What's going on?"

Voice: "You're progressing well."

I narrow my eyes.

Y/N: "What's going on? How'd my percentage jump so much?"

Voice: "It's because of what happened at Haven."

Y/N: "What're you talking about?"

Voice: "You felt it didn't you? That brief moment of nothingness. Where it felt like you blacked out."

I think. I then recall it.

Y/N: "What was that?"

Voice: "That was me."

Y/N: "What'd you do?"

Voice: "It's a side effect of your little virus. Since you're being erased, and I'm the only other thing rattling in that dense head of yours, I'm being handed the reigns."

Y/N: "So you mean to tell me. Then when I fully fade, you'll be put in the driver's seat?"

Voice: "Yes."

I look down.

Voice: "By the by, if you wish to not have a premature deletion, you might wanna lay off the fighting."

Y/N: "Why?"

Voice: "Because the more you push your body, the faster the virus will overwrite you. And the faster it works, the more frequent I'm given control."
