Y/N, a freshly created AI program. Designed to be able to integrate into just about anything. But one day he seemingly dies. Watch as he returns and makes his way across Remnant to stop a plan that could very well end the world.
Some time after the formation of their new friendship, Ruby carries Y/N into an unused shed in the backyard.
Ruby: "And this' the abandoned shed. No one's used it since the last people that lived here."
Y/N: "This shall serve us well."
She sets him down on a shelf.
Ruby: "So what's our first order of business?"
Y/N: "We make a lab. After that, who knows."
Ruby nods.
Ruby: "What do we need for that?"
Y/N: "Appliances."
Ruby: "Any particular kind?"
Y/N: "No. Grab anything from a toaster to a TV."
She gives a salute.
Ruby: "You can count on me."
She runs into her house. Going to her kitchen she swipes a toaster and blender. She then heads for the living room where she collects a DVD player. She heads back to the shed when her mother stops her.
Summer: "What're you doing with those?"
She freezes thinking of an excuse.
Ruby: "Science... experiment?"
Her mother smiles.
Summer: "Just be sure to return them when you're done."
Ruby: "Will do."
She heads back to the shed. She then sets the devices on the shelf.
Y/N: "Good work."
Ruby: "Now what?"
Y/N: "How good are you at engineering?"
She looks down.
Ruby: "Not good."
Y/N: "Then looks like you're about to learn."
Later that day Ruby looks over her notes.
Y/N: "That should do for today. Get some sleep. You'll need it for tomorrow."
She nods heading to bed. Meanwhile Y/N spends all night setting up the makeshift lab.

Ruby enters her house going to the shed. Entering she smiles seeing how far they've come.

Ruby: "I'm back."
A voice is then heard overhead.
Y/N: "Bring anything interesting?"
She digs through her backpack. She withdraws a device.
Ruby: "Got you a new processor."
Y/N: "Good. The old one's starting to fail."
She replaces the old one.
Ruby: "It's the latest series. Meaning it should last longer."
She sits on a chair sliding to a computer. She then pulls out her notebook.
Y/N: "Anything new?"
She smiles flipping to a schematic.
Ruby: "I came up with a new body design for you."
She loses her smile.
Ruby: "Problem is that it's gonna require a lot of energy to jump start. Energy we don't exactly have."
Y/N: "How much energy do we need?"
Ruby: "At least three hundred million volts."
Y/N: "That's the equivalent of a lightning bolt."
Ruby: "Yeah. And sadly all it does is rain in Patch."
Y/N: "My scans show a lightning storm is set to hit Vale in three days."
She looks up thinking.
Ruby: "That could be our shot. But how would I sneak past mom and dad?"
Y/N: "Why not tell them you're going to a sleep over?"
Ruby: "None of my friends live in Vale. So that's a bust."
Y/N: "Try to stay optimistic. We'll find a solution to our problem."
Ruby: "I hope so."
She turns back to her notebook flipping forward a couple pages.
Ruby: "In the meantime I vote we focus on another project. My weapon."
Y/N: "What'd you have in mind?"
Ruby: "I want something that'll compliment my speed semblance. Therefore I believe I should make a scythe."
Y/N: "It would fit. Very well. Let's get started."
