Y/N POV

I look over the datasheet carefully doublechecking my variables. Ruby then shouts from across the lab.

Ruby: "Ready!?"

I nod.

Y/N: "Yeah!!"

Ruby: "Beginning test!!"

I hear her typing. I then look at the servers which hum loudly. I look back at the load bar which's half full.

Y/N: "How we lookin!?"

Ruby: "Systems holding!!"

The load bar gets down to its last ten percent.

Y/N: "Come on. Just a little bit more."

I smile as the load bar gets to ninety nine percent. But an alarm blares. The servers begin smoking before emitting a small explosion.

Y/N: "Shut it down!!"

Ruby smashes the shut off button killing everything. She then rushes in using a fire extinguisher to kill the fire. I look down in defeat. Ruby pats my back.

Ruby: "Cheer up Y/N. We got to nearly a hundred percent. That just means we're that much closer to succeeding."

Y/N: "I can only hope so."

Ruby: "Why don't we take a break? It'll help clear your head. Maybe even give you the answer to your problem."

I perk up.

Y/N: "Ok."

We exit the lab heading to the cafeteria. But along the way I get a message, from Penny.

Y/N: "You go on ahead. I uh... forgot something in the lab."

She cocks an eyebrow.

Ruby: "What'd you forget?"

I freeze. Crap, think of something.

Y/N: "I... forgot... uh... my, datasheet! Yeah, my datasheet. It's like you said. I might get my answer. Better to have my datasheet handy that way I can write it down and not worry about forgetting the answer."

She tilts her head.

Ruby: "That is fair. Very well. But try not to stay too long. Otherwise all the good food will be gone."

Y/N: "Will do."

She leaves me. When she does I pull up Penny's message.

Penny: "Am I disturbing you?"

Y/N: "No. You need something?"

Penny: "I just wanted to tell you that I'm officially in Vale."

Y/N: "That's great. You training for the tournament?"

Penny: "Yep. I doubt I'll have trouble winning."

Y/N: "No kidding. It also helps that you're an android."

Penny: "Really puts my opponents at the disadvantage."

A massive crash is heard.

Y/N: "Something's going down. Gotta go."

I quickly hover to where the commotion came from. Arriving at the cafeteria I see JNPR on the wall covered in food.

Y/N: "What in the world happened?"

Ruby: "A food war."

Glynda barges into the room with a scowl on her face. She waves a riding crop at the debris. They move back into their proper places once more creating order. With everything fixed Glynda pushes her glasses up slightly softening her scowl.

Glynda: "Children please. No playing with your food."

Ozpin: "Let it go Glynda. They're just children."

She looks at him. Meanwhile a secondary crash is heard. I look to see Yang comes crashing through the roof. She smashes into a table with a hard thud. She simply springs to her feet giving a thumbs up.

Yang: "I'm good."

We laugh. Once everyone gets cleaned up we head to the library where we play a boardgame. Ruby looks at her cards deep in thought.

Ruby: "Alright... Yang Xiao Long, prepare yourself for war!!!"

Yang: "Bring it on!!!"

Ruby slams down a card.

Ruby: "I deploy the Atlas air fleet!!! I get to fly right over your army."

She makes airplane noises.

Yang: *gasp* "You monster!!"

Ruby: "And since Mantle is part of Atlas my repair time lasts only one turn."

Yang: "Pretty sneaky. But you activated my trap card!!!"

Ruby: "Say whaaaa!?!?!"

Yang: "If I roll a seven or higher my Nevermore will slice your fleet in half."

Ruby: "But... roll six or lower and it'll turn against you."

Yang: "I'm feeling lucky."
