Y/N POV

I admire the architecture when Yang speaks up.

Yang: "Vale's got nothing on this."

Ruby: "No kidding."

I look around when I notice Ruby going crazy at all the new weapons. She then begins pointing.

Ruby: "Oh guys, look. He's got a collapsible staff. And she's got a fire sword."

She dives after the weapons when Yang pulls her back to reality.

Yang: "Calm down. They're just weapons."

Y/N: "And here it comes."

Ruby: ""Just weapons? Just weapons!?!  They're an extension of ourselves!! They're a part of us!!!"

Yang: "Can't you swoon over your own weapon?"

She deploys Crescent Rose.

Ruby: "Of course I can. It's just that I like seeing new weapons. It's like meeting new people, only better."

Yang: "Why not just make friends on your own?"

Ruby: "Why do that when I have Y/N? He's better than a friend. He's a partner."

Y/N: "Aww."

Ruby: "But what about you? Why don't you make friends?"

Yang: "Actually my friends are here. Soo... see ya later!!!"

She zips away with shadow people. 

Ruby: "Wait, what about me!?!"

Yang: "Good luck!"

Ruby sighs.

Ruby: "Welcome to Beacon."

Boy: "Excuse me. But do you know where to go?"

Ruby: "Yeah. Follow me."

She leads him to where we're supposed to be. Along the way we just talk.

Boy: "So what brings you to Beacon?"

Ruby: "Got recommended by headmaster Ozpin himself."

Boy: "Wow. That's a high honor. I'm kinda jealous."

Ruby: "It's no big deal."

There's a couple seconds of silence.

Boy: "Guess we're overdue for introductions. I'm-"

Y/N: "Jaune, Jaune Arc. Youngest of the seven Arc children. Only male of said children."

He stares dumbfounded.

Jaune: "How does your little doodad know about me?"

I make his scroll ding. He pulls it out as I hijack it.

Y/N: "Y/N L/N. At your service."

Jaune: "What exactly are you?"

Y/N: "An AI. One that Ruby here created."

I make an arrow. Jaune looks at her making her rub the back of her head.

Jaune: "Incredible."

He looks back at me.

Jaune: "So can you like hijack anything?"

Y/N: "So long as it's mechanical in nature."

Jaune: "Meaning?"

Y/N: "I can hijack anything from microwaves to the world wide database."

Jaune: "That's kinda scary."

He puts his scroll away as we enter an auditorium. 

Yang: "Ruby, over here!"

Ruby: "That's my sister. See ya around Jaune."

Jaune: "See ya."

We stand next to Yang.

Yang: "How's your guy's first day going?"

Ruby: "You mean since you ditched us?"

Yang: "Yikes, meltdown already?"

We hear a throat clear. Looking forward we see Ozpin walking up to a microphone.

Ozpin: "I'll try to keep this as brief as possible. All of you have traveled a long way to get here. To hone and perfect your craft. Once you've finished your time here you plan to use your skills to keep the people of this world safe. But looking at all of you I only see wasted energy, in need of guidance. You assume going here will free you from the burden of expectation. But it won't. Going here you'll quickly see that knowledge can only carry you so far. It'll be up to you to take the first step."

He's replaced by Glynda.

Glynda: "Tonight you'll all gather in the ballroom. Get plenty of rest for tomorrow your initiation shall begin. Good luck."

After a good night's rest we awaken to begin the day. Ruby takes Crescent Rose out of a locker before looking at me.

Ruby: "What's our probability of passing initiation?"

I make some calculations.

Y/N: "Going off your current fighting skills. Coupled with my assistance. We have a total of forty three percent chance of passing."

Ruby: "Not much. But better than nothing."

Y/N: "Agreed."
