Taking Shelter

3rd POV

The group of heroes enter the cabin. Upon doing so they find dust everywhere.

Yang: "Lots of dust. Means no one's been here in awhile."

Ruby: "Then it's fine for us to crash here. Let's lay Y/N in the living room."

They carry him there sitting him on the couch. After situating him Ruby stands in front of her team.

Ruby: "Alright. Since we're spending the night, we might as well make ourselves at home. Search for any supplies we can use."

They nod searching the house. When they come back they all grab a can of food. Yang then takes a seat next to her sister.

Yang: "How you holding up?"

Ruby: "Fine for now. Just waiting for Y/N to wake back up."

Yang places her hand on Ruby's shoulder.

Yang: "He's gonna be okay Ruby."

She stares at her food.

Ruby: "I know. But I just can't help but worry. He's my best friend. And I hate seeing him like this."

She looks at Y/N.

Ruby: "I'm scared Yang."

Yang: "What about?"

Ruby: "When we were at Haven I saw Y/N fighting."

Yang: "What's so bad about that?"

Ruby: "It was the way he was fighting. He was fighting more forcefully than he usually does. And that's not the worst part. When I look into his eyes, I didn't see him."

Yang: "What'd you see?"

Ruby: "Not Y/N. Whatever it was, it was angry. It didn't care if it hurt people. That was what scared me. And I fear it's only gonna get worse."

She's pulled close.

Yang: "It'll be okay little sis. It was a pretty stressful situation. There's a chance you were just imagining things."

Ruby: "It looked pretty dang real."

Weiss: "It's ten o'clock."

Ruby: "Then let's get to bed. We're leaving at first light."

They nod going to bed. The next morning they roll out a car from the barn.

Ruby: "We ready to go?"

Yang: *closes hood* "Yep. Everything's running like it's supposed to."

Ruby: "Then let's get going."

After loading up Y/N they all squeeze in. Yang then drives them down the road. As they ride Ruby looks at Y/N who still hasn't moved.

Ruby: "How much longer till we reach the others?"

Yang: "Not long."

Blake: "I wish the previous owners had a bigger car."

Weiss: "No kidding."

She situates herself.

Weiss: "Feels like I'm being compressed."

Yang: "Try to endure it a little longer."

They come to a clear area. At that same moment a scroll begins ringing. Ruby fishes her scroll out of her pocket.

Ruby: "Hello? Jaune! Slow down. The city?"

The car comes to a dead stop.

Yang: "Gang, welcome to Argus."

They look out the windshield and smile seeing the great city of Argus. After parking and exiting the vehicle they're greeted by a loud voice.

Voice: "Friends!!!!"

They're all picked up in a hug.

Nora: "I missed you guys so much."

Yang: *strained* "Nora... too... tight."

She chuckles setting them down. She then rubs the back of her head.

Nora: "Sorry."

Jaune: "Good to see you all again."

Weiss: "Likewise."

They all share hellos.

Qrow: "What's wrong with him?"

They all look at Y/N.

Ruby: "Let's get somewhere safe."

Jaune: "Follow me. I know just the place."

He leads them to a small two story house. The door then opens revealing a blonde haired woman.

Blonde: "Jaune, you're back."

Yang: "Who's this?"

Jaune: "Guys, this' my sister Saphron."

Ruby: "Nice to meet you. Mind if we come in?"

Saphron: *smiles* "By all means."

They're let inside her house.
