Y/N POV
The whole world stands still. Standing before me is the last person I expected to ever see.
Penny: "Is that really you?"
We run wrapping the other in a deep hug.
Y/N: "I thought you were dead."
She tightens her hug.
Penny: "I got rebuilt."
I just continue to hold her close. I then smile, the woman I love is alive. I pull away looking her over.
Y/N: "So... what've you been up to?"
Penny: "Well. After I got destroyed at Beacon my core was returned here. My father then rebuilt me, made me better than ever. What about you?"
I think.
Y/N: "After I thought you died I confronted a woman. She killed me."
I smile.
Y/N: "But like you I was rebuilt. Better than before. Following that I've been traveling with Ruby and her friends across Remnant. Eventually ending up here."
Penny: "Why?"
Y/N: "You ever heard of the pillar of eternity?"
Her eyes shine. They quickly stop.
Penny: "My database is coming up empty. What is it?"
I withdraw the cable from my wrist.
Y/N: "Look and see."
She jacks the cable into a slot behind her ear. Her eyes shine as lines of data are seen. After a couple seconds her eyes return to normal as she withdraws the cable.
Penny: "So it's a powerful weapon that an equally powerful enemy is looking for."
Y/N: "Yes."
Penny: "And you wanna stop them."
Y/N: "Correct."
She smiles.
Penny: "Then you have my help."
Dad: "She's very pretty. She'll make a fine wife."
Y/N: "Do not speak of her like that."
Penny: "Who're you talking to?"
Y/N: "No one."
She leans closer.
Penny: "Since when did you start wearing sunglasses?"
Y/N: "Since I left Beacon."
Penny: "Is something wrong Y/N?"
Y/N: "No. Everything's perfectly fine."
I smile to reassure her. She only stares. She then sighs.
Penny: "If you say nothing's wrong, then nothing's wrong."
She hugs me a final time.
Penny: "It was good seeing you again."
I return her hug.
Y/N: "You too."
A door opens. Looking I see Ruby exiting Ironwood's office.
Ruby: "Y/N. Ironwood wishes to speak with you."
I break the hug.
Y/N: "I'll see you around."
She nods as I enter Ironwood's office. Upon doing so I see Ironwood and Ozpin are the only ones there.
Y/N: "You wanted to see me sir?"
Ironwood: "Yes."
I stand in front of them both.
Y/N: "There a particular reason?"
Ironwood: "Ozpin said you've recently regained your memories."
I slightly look down.
Y/N: "Yes sir."
Ironwood: "Then you know where the pillar is."
Y/N: "I do. But it was thanks to the relic from Haven."
Ironwood: "Tell me. Where is it?"
Y/N: "It's here. In Atlas."
Ironwood: "Please tell me you have an exact location."
Y/N: "Sadly no."
Ironwood: "I figured as much. Thankfully I may have a way to help."
I look at him.
Y/N: "How?"
Ozpin: "I'm also curious."
Ironwood: "For the past ten years I've been relentlessly searching for the pillar. I used every tool at my disposal. Till finally I got something."
He makes a projection of a type of wave.
Y/N: "What's that?"
Ironwood: "Approximately three days ago one of our satellites picked up a stray noise. We searched but found nothing."
Y/N: "And I take it you want my help to locate it."
Ironwood: "Correct."
He withdraws a chip from his computer. He then holds it in front of him. I grab it inserting it into the slot behind my ear. A load bar pops up. It gets halfway when an error message is shown.
System: "Main system security compromised. Using any foreign object could result in serious damage."
Ozpin: "Everything okay?"
Y/N: "Yeah. Just a lot more data to process than I thought."
