Y/N POV
I internally sigh, so close. We break apart as I investigate the ding.
Penny: "What is it?"
I smile.
Y/N: "Come with me. I wanna show you something."
I return us to the real world.
Penny: "We still have to deal with my guards."
Y/N: "Leave it to me."
I hijack their visor displaying a moving spiral. They relax as I start speaking.
Y/N: "You are both at the dance. Penny is before you minding her business."
They repeat what I said. I then reintegrate with Penny.
Y/N: "That's them takin care of. Now we can leave."
I hijack my body leading Penny to the workshop.
Penny: "Impressive. But why're we here?"
Y/N: "I wanna show you my passion project."
I make a lamp turn on. She then spots the schematics to my grand project.
Penny: "It's a body."
Y/N: "Now just any old body. One that can grow and learn like I do."
Penny: "Is that even possible?"
Y/N: "Not at the moment."
Penny: "What's keeping you?"
Y/N: "First and foremost the code."
Penny: "What's wrong with it?"
Y/N: "I've been unable to get it to function properly. Every time it'd go nuts and self destruct. I fear at this point I'll never get it right."
Penny: "I'd like to take a look at it."
I send the data to her. Her eyes glow as she hmms.
Penny: "I think I may have found your problem."
She projects the data.
Penny: "Firstly your control structure is all wrong. You have it set to repeat where it's supposed to end."
She taps the hologram rearranging the variables.
Penny: "Next is your syntax. Looks like you've got the wrong symbols."
She continues to fix my mistakes. After a couple minutes she dismisses the hologram.
Penny: "That should just about do it. Let's give it a try."
I'm sent the revised code. I then upload it to my project's server.
Computer: "Beginning code analysis. Standby."
I wait.
Computer: "Analysis complete. Beginning integration."
The load bar pops up. It then slowly fills up. It eventually gets into the nineties.
Y/N: "Moment of truth."
It creeps through the nineties. I then hold my breath as it reaches ninety nine. It freezes which makes me start to fear the worst. But to my surprise, the unbelievable happens.
Computer: "Code integration complete. All systems at full capacity."
I cheer at the top of my lungs.
Y/N: "It worked!!!!"
I spin around as Penny claps. I stop staring at the stable stats.
Y/N: "It's finally happening. I'm on my way to gaining a body."
I look at Penny.
Y/N: "Thank you Penny. I couldn't have done this without you."
Penny: "Just happy to help out a friend."
I decide to test my luck.
Y/N: "What're you doing tonight?"
Her eyes glow.
Penny: "My schedule doesn't show me to be doing anything. Why?"
Y/N: "I wanna know if you'd like to help me design my body."
Her eyes turn to normal as she smiles.
Penny: "I'd love to."
A ding comes through my system. I look to see some schematics.
Y/N: "What're these?"
Penny: "Design plans for my body. Maybe you could use them as a baseline for your body."
I look them over smiling.
Y/N: "These are quite detailed. They just might work."
I look back at Penny.
Y/N: "Ready to get to work?"
She gives an adorable salute.
Penny: "Born ready!"
I smile.
Y/N: "Then let's get to it."
