Meredith

I get back from the store and I see that Derek's car is now gone.

I finally have the names picked out so I bought some Letters to spell their name out on the walls.

I also met a nice man at the grocery store.

Flashback.

I walk into the store to grab somethings. As im looking down one aisle.

I grab a few things and put them into the cart. I go down another aisle.

Theres something on the top shelve that I cam reach.

"Excuse me, could you grab that for me?" I say to a taller man next to me.

"Yes, of course," he says. He grabs it and hands it to me.

"Thank you," I smile. I take it and place it in the cart.

"How far along are you?" He asks.

"Um, nine months, im due in a few weeks," I say.

"Sorry, was that rude?" He says with a look of guilt on his face.

"No, not at all. Im just not used to people asking about my pregnancy, thats all," I say.

"Are you two excited?"  He asks.

"Two?"

"You and the father," he says.

"Oh, yes, well I am, im not very sure he is, I mean he says he is but he doesn't really show it, at least im the way he should be," I say.

He looks at me like hes waiting for a longer story.

"Sorry, im rambling, i do it when im nervous, I'll go," I say. I grab one more thing and grab my cart.

"No, its fine, its not annoying," he says.

"Im Nathan," he says sticking out his hand.

"Meredith," I smile, shaking his hand.

"I'd like to stay and talk but I should get going," I say.

"Right. Maybe I'll see you around," he smiles.

"Yeah, maybe," I smile before walking away.

I go inside and put everything in the nursery. I Go back downstairs i feel a sharp pain in my stomach.

I know how it feels when they both start kicking but this hurts More than just a few kicks.

I chose to ignore it and go into the kitchen to make something to eat to see if that helps.

eating didn't really seem to do anything about the pain so I decide to go to the hospital. I grab my coat and purse and go out to the car.

I drive to the hospital and find Arizona.

"Alright Meredith, what brings you here?" she asks as I take off my pants and get on the table.

"I keep having these sharp pains, they feel different than when they're kicking," I say.

"alright, we'll take a look for you," she says as she gets the machine.

"Could I be in early labor?" I ask.

"you could be but we don't know yet, and if you are there are ways we can stop it so they stay in there longer... you are carrying twins so we need them to stay in there as long as possible," she says.
