This takes place at the beginning of season 2. After Meredith found out about Derek wife and is trying to move on from him. But something comes up might change her life forever.
Cristina and I are in the dressing room at the moment and I'm helping her zip up her dress.
"Cris, no offence but I think we should get you a bigger size," I tell her. I try getting to zipper to zip again but it just won't.
"Mer, I've been this size since high school it can't change now, there's something wrong with the dress," she tells me.
"It won't zip Cristina, I don't know what to tell you," I say.
"We'll try harder," she says.
I try again. I use everything I have to try and get it to zip but I feel it about to break.
"If I go any further it'll break," I say letting it go and it slides down her back.
"Let's just a get a bigger size to see if it helps," I say.
"Fine," she rolls her eyes.
She takes off the dress and we get her a bigger size.
"See, doesn't that feel much better?" I ask as I'm now able to zip up her dress.
"No. I've been the same size for a decade how could I possibly have gained weight?" She asks turning to the side in the mirror.
"Do I look fat?" She asks.
"No, Cristina. You're just a size bigger then you thought, you're fine," I tell her.
"Look at my stomach," she tells me. I roll my eyes and look at her stomach.
"Do you see that?" She sees placing her hand on her stomach.
"See what?" I ask.
"That bump!" She says pointing to her stomach.
"Cristina, I think you're just bloated, we ate a big meal before we came here, it'll be gone by the wedding," I tell her.
"It's not bloat Meredith it's hard," she tells me as she starts smacking it.
"Cristina, you're not fat calm down,"
"No, look! I look like you at the beginning of your pregnancy!" She says.
"Shut up, you got an abortion," I roll my eyes.
"Yeah from some weird sketchy guy," she says.
"Didn't you go to a clinic?" I ask her.
"No it's not legal dummy," she rolls her eyes.
"I thought you got it done out of state?" I say.
"No," she says.
"Was he even a doctor Cristina? Where did you find this guy?" I ask her.
She says nothing.
"Cristina!"
"I found him on Craigslist," she shrugs.
"Oh my gosh Cristina!" I exclaim.
"Shut up, he did it right from my knowledge,"
"Was he even a doctor, did he even go to med school?" I ask.
"I don't know, but I saw the baby when he took it out so I'm fine." she says.
"honestly you should have just let me do it and it would have worked better," I say.
"I'm not letting you come here me with that kind of shit," she looks at me offended.
"You'd trust a stranger off of craigslist more than me?!" I yell.
"... yes,"
"Cristina, you are so stupid... did you at least get an ultrasound after you got the abortion, you know to make sure everything's right in there and he didn't accidently stab you?" I ask.
"... No," she says quietly.
"Oh my gosh Cristina!" I yell.
"it's not that bad, I feel fine, he's not like he destroyed my uterus," she rolls her eyes and tries to flatten her stomach with her hand.
"You're literally so dumb, I can't believe you went to Stanford. We're going to get you an ultrasound the second we leave this place," I say.
"Ugh, fine," she rolls her eyes.
"Lets just get your dress and get out of here," I say.
"what about your dress?" she says.
"Ugh, fuck it, we'll get it tomorrow, if I'm here any longer I'm going to pass out," I say.
"Fine, but I still don't like this dress, I don't want this one," she says.
"ugh, jeez, try to make it quick please,"
"Okay 'miss pregnant'" she rolls her eyes.
"for all we know you're still pregnant so you can't complain until we know for sure your uterus is empty,"
"I don't feel pregnant," she says.
"what about your 'flu'?" I say with air quotes.
she stays quiet as she thinks about it.
"... shut up," she says before leaving the dressing room.
"and you made fun of me for it for so long for being-" I say before she shushes me
"don't let my mother and burkes mom hear," she says as he walk into the same rom they are in.
"hear what?" burkes mom asks as she now standing in front of us.
"woah," I say as she's right in front of me when I turn away from Cristina.
I giggle to myself as I walk back to the bench and sit down. my legs are killing me today with all the walking.
