Meredith.

Derek and I are lying in bed cuddling and making out, naked. Hope turned six weeks old two days ago and we should be able to have sex again but I'm again bleeding. We had sex a week ago but apparently I wasn't fully healed because the bleeding started again.

Arizona says it's normal to still be bleeding after six weeks and it should stop soon. So instead,  I gave him a few blow jobs

"I missed you," he kisses me. "I miss feeling you against me," I moan as his hands roam my body.

We've both been working a lot and haven't seen each other much since there's been a lot of accidents lately.

His hand roams down my body before it lands on my postpartum underwear. "You're still wearing those diapers?" He chuckles as he checks under the covers. "Yes, I shouldn't have to for much longer," I kiss him.

"So that's why you won't have sex with me," he says. "Believe me, I want to. More risk anything but I can't as long as I have to wear these," I sigh.

"It's okay, I'll wait," he says pulling away and pulling me close. "I know, and you have been very patient over the past six weeks," I lay my head on his chest.

"It's the least I can do. Your body's been through a lot and now it needs to heal, I'm a doctor I know how these things work," he says.

"I know, I just don't want you to secretly resent me for not having sex with you," I trace my fingers along his chest.

"I'm not going to resent you for letting your body fully heal. Like I said, your body has already been through so much, the pregnancy, giving birth, and now it needs to heal.. the least I can do is be patient," he says.

"Thank you for being so understanding," I say. "Of course," he says before kissing me.

"Do you think we'll have more kids one day,  you know after Hope?" I ask. "That's up to you. I think it would be nice to have maybe one or two more in a couple of years, but if you're not up for it then I'd be happy with three," he says.

"Threes a good number, " I say. "Yes, it is," he says. "But four is good too," I say. "Do you think you'll want more after Hope?" He asks.

"I don't know, maybe. After the twins I knew I would want more, I just didn't know how much more," I say. "Well, now that we have another, do you feel complete?" He asks.

"I don't know, I don't think so. I'm good with just three right now but I think I'll want another once Hope is bigger," I say.

"Just one more?" He asks. "Yeah, for now, let's just stick with having one more in a couple of years. When we get there that's when we'll decide if we want with fifth," I say.

"Alright,  I'm okay with that," he says. "How is the house coming along?" I say. Derek's been working on the house for the past few weeks and I haven't seen it yet. I've just seen the land that is going to be built on.

"It's coming along well, marks actually been helping out a lot so it's going a lot quicker," he says.  "Oh, you and Mark are talking again?" I say. When we moved here we found out Mark works at the same hospital we do.

"Yeah, it's been a while but it doesn't really feel like anything has changed between us," he says. "That's good, it's good for you to be with a man sometimes. Here you're always with girls," I smile.

"No, I've still got Miles," he says.  "And even Miles needs a play date with some of his friends from soccer to get away from us," I say.

"Maybe to get away from you but he doesn't do it to get away from me," he says. "Alright, whatever you say," I giggle.

"Do you think the kids are still asleep?" I ask, changing the subject. "Let's find out," he says as he grabs the baby monitors, one is of the twins' room and the other is of Hope's nursery.

"Yeah, they're all still asleep," he says. It's in the middle of the day and all the kids are down for their nap.

"We should try and get some sleep too before they wake up," he says. "But if we sleep now then they'll wake up soon and they'll most likely wake us up," I say.

"Yes, but you need the rest," he kisses my lips softly. "I'm almost fully recovered," I say. "Yeah, almost. Not completely though," he says.

"Get some rest, mer, I love you," he says."Okay," I say. "You're not going to say it back?" He says. "You know I love you, I don't have to say it," I say. He smiles. We get under the covers and fall asleep not long after.
