I'm sleeping in bed when I hear a loud bang at the front door.

"What the heck was that?" Derek says as he shakes awake.

"I don't know,  go check," I say as there's another bang.

"Ugh, you're useless. Leave everything to the pregnant woman," I roll my eyes as I get out of bed.

I leave the bedroom and go to the front door where there's another bang.

I unlock the door and open the front door to see Cristina.

"What are you doing here? You're going to wake up my kids?" I say to her.

"Can you watch Theo?" She says.

"It's three in the morning," I tell her.

"I know, I have to go in," she says. "You have a husband," I say.

"Just take him.. please," she says.

"Fine," I roll my eyes. She carries Theo inside and lays him down on the couch before she leaves.

I close and lock the door before I go back into the bedroom and get back in bed.

"Who was it?" Derek asks groggily.

"Cristina, she dropped off Theo," I say getting under the covers and laying down next to him.

"Why? It's three in the morning," he groans.

"She had to go into the hospital," I say.

"Burke?"

"I don't know," I say, I push him away and roll onto my side.

"Am I annoying you?" He asks as he wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me into him.

"Yes, you're very annoying. You're worse than Mallory when she can't sleep," I groan.

"You're getting big," he says, he runs his hand up my shirt and caresses my swollen stomach.

"Thank you," I close my eyes.

"No- you know what I mean... it's a good thing," he whispers.

"Can I talk to it?" he asks as he sits up. "You want to talk to the baby?" I ask.

"Yes, can I?" He asks as I turn to look over at him. "Sure, just as long as you let me sleep," I say. I roll onto my back and he pulls my shirt up to reveal my large stomach.

He places his hands on my stomach, rubbing gently, as he starts to talk to the baby.

He tells the baby about his day, what he does for a living, the things he likes to do, and the things I like to do. He tells it about Mallory and Miles and how excited they are about having a little sibling.

It talks to the baby for around twenty minutes before he says goodnight and tells it how much he loves it before he sits up and lays down next to me.

"Are you sleeping?" He whispers in my ear.

"No, I was listening to you talk to the baby," I open my eyes and smile at him.

"Sorry, did I keep you awake?" He asks. "No, not at all, I just-" I trail off.

"What is it?" He asks running his fingers through my hair. "We never got to do this with the twins... you and I being together, you never got to talk to the twins when I was pregnant, we never got to talk about naked.. you didn't even get to watch them grow up to wear they are now," I say, swallowing a sob ad tears start to glisten in my eyes.

"Meredith.." he says. "No, I'm fine.. I just wish things weren't so complicated back then.. we hardly got to enjoy the pregnancy.. and you didn't even get to watch your kids grow up," I wipe a tear away as they start to run down my cheeks.

"That was my fault, I chose to leave.. and it was the biggest mistake of my life, I don't know what I was thinking," he pulls me into his chest.

"You were hurting.. you weren't under the influence of Addison.. you weren't thinking straight," I wipe my eyes.

"That's so an excuse for leaving you alone with two babies... but at least now the kids will never know about that unless we tell them.. they won't remember Nathan.. and I get to be here for this baby and you get to enjoy every moment of this pregnancy without worrying about a thing," he says softly.

"We get to find out the gender soon if we want to.." I change the subject.

"Do you want to know the gender?" He asks, rubbing my bare stomach gently, keeping my shirt lifted.

"If you want to," I shrug. "We can if you'd like, you can start thinking on names... I'm not very good with names.. we found that out when I was trying to name Miles," he smiles.

"Miles is a good name," I nod. "So is Mallory," he says.

"We could wait until the baby's born," I suggest laying my head on his shoulder.

"If that's what you want then we can do that," he says. "I don't know if I want to know the gender or not.. it's too much to think about... you can choose, I'm fine with either," I sigh as I have a hard time keeping my eyes open.

"You should get some sleep.. we both have work in the morning," he says. "I have work a little later than you, I'm not allowed to work too early in the mornings anymore," I say.

"That's good. I'll take the twins to daycare when I leave so they don't wake you up too early," he says.

"Okay, thank you," I roll onto my side and close my eyes.

"Goodnight," he says with his arm over my waist.

"Night,"
