Derek.

we get back home and I park in the driveway. I get out of the car and help both kids out of the car. I grab Mallory's ballet bag and Miles's soccer bag. I lock the car and let the kids in the house.

"You two have to be a little quiet because Mommy's taking a nap," I tell them as I close the door behind me.

"the baby make Mommy tired?" Mallory asks. "Yes," I nod. I put their bags in the hallway closet while throwing away the trash from their food.

I go into Mallory's room and help her get changed into some regular clothes and throw her ballet clothes in the hamper.

I take out her hair and brush it before putting it in a braid. I leave her in her room to play and go into Miles's room.

I see him struggling to get his shirt off so I help him slip it off and get changed into some clean clothes.

I leave Miles's room and go into the master bedroom to go check on Meredith. when I walk into the room I see she's awake now, sitting against the headboard.

"Hey, when did you wake up?" I walk over to her and kiss her cheek.

"A few minutes ago, I woke up when I heard you pull into the driveway," she says.

"Did the map help? Are you feeling any better?" I ask. "Yes, I'm starting to feel better but I don't think I'll feel completely better until this baby is out," she sighs as she rubs her stomach.

"It could be any day now, Mer. Any day now," I say. She nods. "Still not soon enough," she says.

"Do you need anything right now?" I ask her. "Where are the kids?" She asks. "They're playing in their rooms right now, I think they're a little tired," I say.

"I want to take a shower," she says. "Okay," I stand up. I help her onto her feet and help her into the shower.

While Meredith's showering I go and check on the kids once more before going into the kitchen to make Meredith something to eat.

Maybe an hour goes by before Meredith walks out of the bedroom.

"You know I could have used your help in there," she says walking into the room.

"Oh, sorry. Did you say something while you were in the shower?" I ask.

"No, I didn't want to bother you," she says. "So you're not mad?" I say. "No, just a little annoyed that you didn't think of it on your own," she says.

"Okay," I chuckle. "I'll remember that next time you take a shower," I say.

"I hope the next time I take a shower I'm not nine months pregnant, maybe we should schedule the birth so the baby comes sooner, what do you think?" She says.

"If it's really bothering you then we can schedule the birth but if you want to wait it out for a bit longer then we can do that,"

"What would you do?" She asks. "I don't know..  I'm not the one giving birth so I don't think it's really my place to tell you what to do," I say.

"But I don't know what to do," she says. "Then ask your OB," I say. "I did, she said it's up to me and that I should ask you," she says.

"Mer, I don't care what you want to do, if you want to have the baby earlier then you can do that but if you want to wait until the baby comes on its own," I say.

"What if that takes forever? If I thought it'd be in a few days then I would wait but if it's in a few weeks then I don't want to wait so long," she says.

"Why don't you schedule the birth and if the baby comes earlier then you'll have the baby then and if it doesn't then you have the baby on the scheduled day," I say.

"Okay," she grabs her phone. "Are you going to schedule your birth?" I ask. "No, I'm scheduling to go skydiving," she says.

"Okay," I say. She calls someone and leaves the room on the phone.
