This takes place at the beginning of season 2. After Meredith found out about Derek wife and is trying to move on from him. But something comes up might change her life forever.
it's been three months and I'm now nine months pregnant and it's horrible. Just getting around and doing simple things around the house takes hours.
my due date is in two weeks but I'm not sure I can go on until then. Mallory is at ballet right now and Miles is at soccer practice.
Derek is in the kitchen cleaning up while I'm in the living room on the couch. "Derek?" I say. "Yes, sweetheart?" he says from the kitchen.
"Can you bring me another blanket? it's getting kind of cold in here," I say. "Yes, of course," he says. he leaves the kitchen and goes into the hall closet.
he comes back into the living room and hands me the blanket. "Thank you," I say. "You're welcome. do you need anything else?" he asks.
"No, I'm fine," I smile. "Are you sure? I'm done cleaning and the kids are gone, we can do whatever you want," he smiles.
"I can't do whatever I want, I'm a whale I can hardly move half the time," I sigh.
"I'll help you.
"Just tell me what you need," he says.

I cry out in pleasure as I finish my fourth orgasm. He pulls his fingers out of me and takes his hand out of my pants.
"Thank you," I breathe heavily. "You're welcome," he puts his fingers in his mouth and licked them clean.
"You're welcome. Anything else?" He says. "Help me up?" He smiles. He stands up and gives me his hand.
I take his hand and he pulls me up. I kiss him passionately. "I'm going to take a nap I say before leaving the living room and going into the bedroom.
I get changed into more comfortable clothes and get into bed.
Derek.
While Meredith is taking a nap I check the time. I see that it's almost three and I have to pick them up at 3:20 and it takes twenty minutes to get there.
I grab the car keys and put on my coat and shoes. I go into the bedroom and see Meredith snoring softly.
"I'm going to pick up the kids," I whisper kissing her head.
I leave the house and lock the door behind me. I get into the car and drive to Mallory's ballet class since it's the closest.
I arrive at the building and go inside. I wake up to one of the windows and see Mallory in her little black and pink ballet outfit with her hair in a bun sitting on the floor with some of the other girls waiting.
"Who are you picking up?" I lady asks me. "Mallory Grey- Shepherd," I say. She nods and opens the door.
She tells Mallory to grab her things. She says bye to some of her friends before she comes to the door.
"Daddy!" She hugs me when she sees me. "Hey Sweetie, are you ready to go home?" I say. She nods. She hands me her bag and water bottle.
I say goodbye to the dance teacher before I walk out of the building with Mallory holding my hand.
"Did you have fun at ballet?" I ask as I buckle her in her car seat. "Yes! We did lots of spinning and jumping!" She says excitedly.
"Good, I'm glad you had fun," I smile. I kiss her head before placing her dance bag on the floor of the car.
"I want to do ballet forever Daddy!" She tells me. "Well, as long as you enjoy it you can do ballet for as long as you want," I smile. She giggles. She has the same giggle as Meredith. I kiss her cheek before closing the car door and going around to the driver's seat.
I get in the car and put on my seatbelt before pulling out of the parking lot.
"We going to get Miles?" She asks as I drive on the road. "Yes, do you want to get something to eat after we go pick up Miles?" I ask her.
"Yes! I'm hungry!" She says. We arrive at Miles's soccer practice.
I get out of the car and help Mallory out as well. She holds my hand as we walk onto the field.
I see Miles sitting on the ground with his soccer bag next to him waiting. His back is facing us so he hasn't seen us.
"Why don't you go surprise him?" I tell Mallory. She nods before running over to Miles.
She grabs his soccer bag and runs away with it. Miles turns to see Mallory took his bag. He stands up and runs after her. She runs over to me.
"When you get here?" He hugs me. "Just now. Are you ready to go home?" I say. He nods. Mallory hands him back his soccer bag. He waves at some of the other boys before we walk back to the car.
I buckle both kids into their car seats before driving out of the parking lot.
"Did you have fun at soccer today?" I ask him. "Yeah, we won!" He smiles proudly. I smile at him through the rear-view window.
"Your mom talked to your coach the other day, he said you're getting really good. One of the best on your team," I tell him. He smiles.
"He said I kick really far," he says. "Yes, you do," I say.
I glance at the twins a few times while I'm driving. Miles looks so much like me when I was a kid. And Mallory looks exactly like Meredith except with darker hair. They're both so beautiful. I can't wait to see what our baby will look like.
I love them all so much. I don't know what'd I do without them in my life. Meredith and the kids saved me.
