This takes place at the beginning of season 2. After Meredith found out about Derek wife and is trying to move on from him. But something comes up might change her life forever.
I leave Merediths place. I go back to the hotel. I have a lot of emotions right now and I can't deal with them all so they all just turn into anger.
When I arrive at my hotel room I go inside and find Addison laying naked in my bed but she seems to be sleeping, it doesn't matter anyways.
I grab my suitcase from the closet and start packing all my clothes back into it.
I go into the bathroom and grab the bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash that I brought with.
I put them all into a small toiletry bag before putting them in my suitcase as well.
I make sure it's everything before I zip it up and pack my second suitcase.
I grab them and my work bag and set them by the front door. I put my coat back on and left the hotel. I checked myself out and myself out only.
I leave and go to another hotel. It's further from the one Addisons staying at and it's closer to Meredith's house.
I check in and and take the rest of my things to my room.
I take some clothes out of my suitcase and lay them out.
I take a long hot shower to think about everything.
I dry off and get dressed it. I grab my phone and call my lawyer. I end the call with my lawyer and put my phone down.
as soon as I'm about to place my phone down I get a phone call. I look at my phone and see it's Addison.
I answer the phone and put it on speaker but I don't speak.
"Derek, where on earth are you? all your things are gone"
"I know you're not my biggest fan but where are you? I still care about you"
"Why did your lawyer just call me about a divorce? I thought you were going to let this go" she says.
I press the red button and the call ends. I turn off my location just in case Addison wants to try and fine me.
I go into Meredith's contracts and text her a few times to see if she'll respond or if she's already gone to sleep.
she doesn't respond.
I try calling her once but she doesn't answer that either. I'm pretty sure she already went to sleep and I don't want to wake her up.
****. **** The next morning **** ****
I take a shower get dressed and then get into my car and in leave for Meredith's house.
When I park outside her house I see her come outside.
"Why are you here?" She says as I get out of my car.
"I wanted to apologize for yesterday," I say.
"Are you leaving her?" She asks.
"Meredith..I-"
"You what Derek? You can't leave her, fine then don't leave her," she says as she's about to walk away.
"Meredith, shes my wife, I've been with her for eleven years, there eleven Christmas's, eleven birthdays, and I'm just supposed to throw all that away in one day?" I say.
"Are you going to forgive her for sleeping with mark for the three months you were here?"
"I also cheated Meredith,"
"So you're saying you're just as bad as her? You hate that woman and you're admitting you two are equally mentally insane and that's why you're perfect for each other? You got upset with me when you thought I did something with Finn but I'm not aloud to be upset about this?"
"I want my things back and I want you to go back to New York," she says.
"Mer-what?"
"Addison said you have a whole box of my things in your closet, I want them back and I want you to go back to New York," she says.
"I still have some of your things I'll give those back too,"
"But the twins will be born soon-"
"You won't be there when they're born and you don't get to meet them either, you don't get to name your son because he is no longer your son, he's mine and mine only you no longer have rights to them, I told you, I made you a deal, get divorced and you can be apart of their life, you didn't do that so you're not aloud to see them.. ever.. you didn't want it enough so you don't get it at all," she says.
"I have to go to the store to grab some things and when I come back I don't want you to be here, I want to hear that you've left for new York and you've taken you're precious wife with you," she says.
She walks away and gets into her car and forced off. I now have tears in my eyes.
