Irene's POV
"How are you and Bogum, Joohyun?" Mom asked during our dinner.

I frowned, "Why did you ask, Mom? You know we don't talk anymore, right?"

She shrugged, "I'm just checking if you already talked with your boyfriend."

Yeah, I already have a boyfriend. He is Park Bogum. But I don't know if I still consider him a boyfriend. We have been out of touch for twelve years now. My family was only the one who knew about our relationship.

"Why do you keep asking noona about him, Mom? Aren't you tired of asking the same question every time we get together?" In-hyuk asked.

Before, he really liked Bogum for me. But now, I think he doesn't like him anymore.

"Yah. If you don't like the topic, just shut up, okay?" Soobin said. Unlike In-hyuk, Soobin seemed to still like Bogum for me even now.

We are three siblings. I'm the eldest, then Soobin, and the youngest is In-hyuk.

"But I'm getting tired of that question, noona," In-hyuk grumbled to Soobin.

Soobin rolled her eyes at what In-hyuk said. "Then cover your ears."

"Yah. Shut up, you two." I said sternly, which silenced them both.

"Why don't you talk to him first, Joohyun?" Mom suggested.

"Don't do that, Joohyun. You're a woman. You shouldn't do that." Dad said, who also doesn't like Bogum anymore.

"It doesn't mean that if she's a woman, she can't take a first move now." Mom countered Dad.

"If Bogum loves Joohyun, he must have talked to her years ago." Dad countered Mom this time.

I sighed. "Can I have a peaceful dinner, guys? I thought my mind would be at peace in our house, so I went home. But I wish I would have stayed in our dorm instead of going home." I said and leaned on my chair. I'm feeling stressed in our company, and they are adding to it.

"I'm sorry, Joohyun/unnie/noona." My family apologized.

I just shook my head and continued to eat. We were eating our food silently when In-hyuk spoke after he cleared his throat.

"I was wondering, Mom. Has the man you wanted for Soobin noona agreed to go on a date with her?"

"Yah." Soobin glared at In-hyuk, but our brother didn't bother and just shrugged his shoulders.

Mom laughed softly. "I'm still convincing Gomi to date your noona."

I don't know much about the person they're talking to because I rarely go home, so I'm not updated about them. I only know that Gomi is the one my mom like for Soobin.

Soobin sighed heavily. "Not me again, please."

"I'm sure you will like him when you see him. He is kind, responsible son, and most of all, handsome." Mom said and smiled sweetly.

"He doesn't have a degree, right?" Mom nodded at my question. "I thought you didn't want someone without a degree for us, Mom?" I asked in confusion.

Soobin nodded eagerly, "You're right, unnie. That's why Mom really like Bogum oppa for you because except that he is kind, handsome, and gentlemanly, he also has a degree."

"Your sister will be exempted if she dates Gomi. I only want you to be in a relationship with someone with a degree because they can have a stable job. But Gomi doesn't need a degree because he is gumptious. He can make money and provide Soobin with her needs."

"Remember, kids. A hard worker beats a person who only has a degree. It's better to be in a relationship with someone who is hard-working than someone who has a degree but doesn't use it or doesn't want to look for a job." Dad said.

"You also like him, Dad?!" Soobin asked in shock.

"Why not? Besides, my standard for you, all, is not in what they accomplished but in their character."

In-hyuk nodded. "You're right, Dad. It's useless being with someone rich if he will treat you badly." He looked at Mom. "Can you invite him, Mom, sometimes?"

"What?!" Soobin asked incredulously.

In-hyuk shrugged. "I just wanted to meet and know him to see if he really deserves you, noona."

"Sure. I'll invite Gomi when I see him again." Mom said.

"I can't believe you, guys," Soobin said in disbelief while shaking her head.

"What about a woman you like for In-hyuk, Mom? How is she?" I asked to divert the attention from my poor sister.

"Noona, why do you need to ask about her?" In-hyuk complained.

"What?" I shrugged nonchalantly, "I just want to know her status."

"Oh, Ji-hyun? I bumped into her one time. She said she's doing well being a doctor. There were some patients who were really stubborn, but she handled it well. She looked even prettier now." Mom answered and looked at my brother with a teasing smile.

"Don't you have a plan to ask her again to date you, my brother?" Soobin asked with a mocking face. We laughed when In-hyuk glared at Soobin. "Yah. Don't look at me like that. I'm older than you, remember?" In-hyuk sighed in defeat and just continued to eat.

I don't know how my brother met Ji-hyun. I just knew that when they were in college, he asked her to date him, but she rejected him. After that, my brother doesn't want to hear her name, saying it makes his blood boil.

"You need to make some effort to win her heart if you really like her," Dad said, advising my brother.

"I don't like her anymore, Dad," In-hyuk said with a trace of bitterness in his voice.

"Really, huh? Then why are you stalking her social media just a week ago?" Soobin asked and smirked.

In-hyuk looked at Soobin, flabbergasted. "You said you didn't see anything, noona?!"

"Oops." Soobin covered her mouth and deliberately gasped. "Did I say that?"

In-hyuk groaned, "Yeah." He shook his head with a frown. "That's why you kept walking behind me when I was in the living area that time."

I laughed softly, "I can't believe the flight attendant made the lawyer believe her."

"She's really good at lying, noona." In-hyuk reasoned out.

"But you need to have a logical thinker. What do you do if your enemies are good at lying too? Are you going to believe them instead of your clients?" Soobin asked.

In-hyuk grimaced. "Of course not. I should be on my client's side no matter what. And I just let my guard down and believe you because you're one of my family, noona."

Soobin smiled warmly at what he said. "Then believe me that Han Ji-hyun has feelings for you, and she was just testing you to know if you are serious about her." In-hyuk just sighed in response to Soobin's remark.
