Irene's POV
We are here in the living area waiting for the two to arrive while Dad is drinking tea to prevent a hangover tomorrow.

Earlier, I was confused and curious about what they were discussing when I heard Soo-bin talk about bias, so I listened to them quietly. But I couldn't stop meddling in their conversation because of what In-hyuk said. I was upset with him for keeping such information from us, especially from me.

And I don't know how to feel about what Seulgi said earlier about his feelings for me when I followed them to the guest room.

"Sit down." Dad's voice snapped me out of my deep thoughts.

"Why didn't you tell me that Bogum was the one who did that to Seulgi?" I asked In-hyuk after he and Soo-bin sat in front of us.

He sighed, "Because I don't think I should be the one to tell you that. It's like it's not right for a lawyer to make a decision and interfere with his client's decision. And I think Seulgi hyung doesn't want you to know about it because if he wanted to, he would have told you that in the first place. So, I want to respect his decision. But I also realized that you, guys, should know about what Bogum hyung did. I'm just looking for the right time to tell you because we've been busy with our respective jobs and haven't been able to get together completely these past few months. So I think this is the perfect time to tell you all the truth." He stated before he told us why the police didn't find out who was responsible for the crime and how they found out even if the police didn't.

"I didn't know Bogum oppa had that side," Soo-bin commented after In-hyuk finished sharing.

"Why didn't you file a case against Bogum?" Dad perplexedly asked.

"Actually, In-youp hyung, who is Seulgi hyung's cousin and my co-lawyer, wants to bring charges against Bogum hyung, but Seulgi hyung stopped him."

"Why? He might be in danger again." Soo-bin asked in bafflement.

"That's what I told him before. But Seulgi hyung says it's just because he doesn't want to ruin Bogum hyung's image and doesn't want to be in the news."

"Is he crazy? He thought about that more than his safety?" I asked in annoyance.

In-hyuk chuckled, "That's why In-youp hyung reminds him that he might be dead the next time Bogum hyung does something to him again. He said that what happened to Seulgi hyung was just a warning, and he didn't even know what that warning was about."

"What did Gomi respond to his cousin?" Mom asked curiously.

"Seulgi hyung said to drag Bogum hyung into court if something happens to him again."

"What?!" I asked in disbelief. Is Seulgi still in his right mind?

"In-youp hyung was also annoyed by what he said and even asked him if he really wanted to die. But Seulgi hyung replied to him that he would rather die than see the person he likes hurt. And because I'm intelligent, I immediately realized that the person he liked was Joohyun noona." In-hyuk looked at me teasingly, but I just rolled my eyes at him.

"So, it's not just about Bogum's image or him being in the news. The main reason is Joohyun." Dad remarked.

"Exactly, Dad!" In-hyuk said while pointing at Dad.

"Why did Bogum do something like that?" Mom asked in confusion.

"At that time, we were also confused because Seulgi hyung only met him once. So, he asks In-youp hyung if he can further investigate Bogum hyung for him. In-youp hyung agreed and asked me for help again, to which I agreed without thinking twice because I also wanted to know the truth. And we found out that he started stalking noona after the meeting with the production team. And Bogum hyung saw Seulgi hyung many times, always giving flowers to noona after the music shows."

"Why is Gomi giving you flowers, Joohyun?" Mom asked in puzzlement.

"I'm not the only one Seulgi gives flowers to. He also gives flowers to my members. In fact, we're friends with him." I answered.

"What? But you look like you didn't know each other earlier." Soo-bin stated in confusion.

"Something just happened. And don't ask what it is because I won't tell it." I said with a serious face.

Soo-bin grunted before she looked at In-hyuk, "Does Seulgi's family know the reason why he was beaten?"

In-hyuk nodded, "Yes, they do. But Seulgi hyung tells In-youp hyung that he can tell their family why Bogum hyung did that to him, but he shouldn't mention Bogum hyung's girlfriend's name to protect her privacy."

"Oh. My thoughtful Gomi." Mom commented with a smile.

"So, Seulgi's family just let him not sue Bogum?" Dad asked.

"Yes, Dad. Maybe because they know Seulgi hyung. They know that Seulgi hyung's decision will not change no matter how hard they try. But In-youp hyung didn't let Bogum hyung go free like that without paying for what he did to Seulgi hyung." In-hyuk said and smirked.

I frowned, "Did he do something to Bogum?"

"Not only him but also me." He laughed wickedly.

"What?!" We exclaimed in surprise.

He scratched his neck, "I just wanted him to pay for what he did to Joohyun noona back then. So, when In-youp hyung told me that if Bogum hyung doesn't pay in a legal manner, he will pay it in his way. And I volunteered to help him."

"What did you do to Bogum?" I asked with a frown.

"We did what his people did to Seulgi hyung. But we only beat him on the hidden part of his body, so he can still work if he wants to. We also imitated the outfits of his people." He laughed as if there was something funny about what they did. "After we beat him, In-youp hyung also warned him that if he does anything to Seulgi hyung again, he will make sure he goes to jail. After that, In-youp hyung threw him Seulgi hyung's medical certificate and some evidence that we had gathered, but we still have a lot of evidence in reserve in case he does something to Seulgi hyung again. We only want to inform Bogum hyung that he will indeed imprisoned based on the evidence we have even though we didn't show everything."

Perhaps that was the day Bogum had a fever, telling me they filmed a fight scene in his drama. I remembered that he didn't want anyone to touch any part of his body at that time.

"That is against the law, In-hyuk! Do you want to be disbarred from being a lawyer?!" Mom reprimanded him.

"In-youp hyung said, It's not illegal unless we get caught." He smiled sweetly, and we just shook our heads at him.
