Chapter 33

Irene's POV
Wendy and I just talked about random stuff while we sat on the sofa in the lobby after Suho and Sehun left.

"I'm sorry for waiting. The meeting with the producers took so long." Jaekyoon oppa apologetically said after he stopped in front of us.

We stood up after we saw him. "It's okay, oppa. Anyway, what do you want to talk about?" I asked.

"Let's go. We will talk with CEO Lee Seung-gi."

I frowned, "Why? Did I do something wrong?"

He laughed, "You didn't. Don't worry. He only wants to talk to you about something."

I sighed in relief. After that, I looked at Wendy. "What about you? Do you want to come with us?"

Wendy immediately shook her head. "I don't want to. I'm not part of that talk. I don't want to be scolded, and I still have a schedule."

I shrugged, "Okay. We'll go now, then."

Wendy nodded, "Fighting!" She said with her fist raised in the air.

I just smiled at her and looked at oppa. "Let's go, oppa." He just nodded and walked with me.

Jaekyoon oppa knocked on the door of the office of CEO Lee Seung-gi before opening it. We entered after we got permission from our CEO.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Lee," Oppa said after we entered, and we both bowed to him.

Mr. Lee slightly bowed in return before he gestured to the chairs in front of his table. "Have a seat." We nodded and obeyed. He looked at oppa after we sat. "Did you already tell her?"

Oppa shook his head. "I didn't, Mr. Lee."

He nodded, "Alright." He looked at me. "I know you were disappointed after we declined the offer for you last month. We did that because Mr. Jaekyoon already talked that time to one of the broadcasting companies, and they wanted you to be one of their hosts. Your manager and I believed that was a better opportunity than the offer we declined. So, I wanted to know if you wanted to grab that opportunity?"

I was dumbfounded for a second before I nodded immediately. "Yes, Mr. Lee," I answered happily.

He smiled. "That's good, then."

"You will start your hosting on the first week of May. But before that, you will have a meeting with the production team. I will just give a notice when the meeting is. So, for now, focus on your upcoming comeback first." Jaekyoon oppa said.

"Thank you, oppa. Thank you, Mr. Lee." I said and bowed at them.

"Just make sure your hosting doesn't affect your performances on your comeback, okay?" Mr. Lee said with a smile.

I nodded with a smile, "Noted, Mr. Lee."

"Okay. You can go now. Your manager and I have something to talk about."

I nodded and stood up. "Thank you again, Mr. Lee," I said and bowed to him before I walked towards the door.

"Irene," Oppa called me when I held the door knob.

I looked at him. "Yes, oppa?"

"I'll be the one who will drive you to your photo shoot, so just wait for me, okay?"

I nodded, "Okay, oppa." I said and left the office.

I went to the elevator and decided to go to the rooftop because I remembered Wendy mentioned earlier that Seulgi was there. I just wanted to tell him about the good news.

When the elevator I was in opened to the rooftop, I immediately went outside and looked around to see if Seulgi was still there.

I smiled after I saw him and ran towards him. "Seulgiii!"

He looked at me and smiled after he saw me. But his expression immediately changed into a worried face. "Careful, there's ---"

He didn't finish what he was about to say because he ran fast towards me when I stepped on something I didn't notice on the ground.

"Are you okay?" He softly asked while my hands were on his shoulder and his hands were on my waist to prevent me from falling.

I felt electricity when his hands touched my waist, maybe because it was the first time he held me there.

I nodded and smiled, "I'm okay. Actually, I'm happy right now because I will be hosting one of the broadcasting shows this May!"

"Really?!" Seulgi exclaimed happily.

"Kiss me."

"You know your kiss makes me calm down, oppa."

What the heck?! Why did I remember that?!

Yes. I saw Chaeyeon and Seulgi hugging each other that time, but I only pretended I was busy on my phone. I didn't hear what Seulgi said next after Chaeyeon said that because we entered one of the practice rooms after that moment.

"Joohyuna?"

I was out of my deep thoughts after I heard Seulgi's voice. "I'm curious," I said abruptly.

"About what?"

"If what Chaeyeon said is real."

He frowned. "What did she say?"

"If it's really calming."

"Huh?" He asked in confusion. He was about to remove his hands from me, but I stopped it with my hands and looked at his lips.

I brought one of my hands to his shoulder and one to his nape before pulling it closer to my face as I closed my eyes. I felt his body rigid when our lips touched, and his hands slightly tightened their grip. I moved my lips and slowly kissed him, and after a while, his hands loosened his grip on me and started to kiss me back.

But after a while, Seulgi broke our kiss and removed his hands from me while looking down. "I'm sorry."

I looked at him incredulously. "Really? You would say that after? Did you indirectly say that you regret it?" He just hurt my pride!

Seulgi immediately shook his head and looked at me but looked away after with a flush on his cheeks. "No. I didn't regret it. I mean... Uhmm... I just wanted to say sorry because... I just... I just finished smoking and made you... Uhmm... Turned off to me..." He scratched his head. "Oh, shit. What am I saying?" He mumbled, but I heard it.

Yeah. I smelled cigarette smoke on his breath, but it mixed with his minty fresh breath that made me want to kiss him even more.

I laughed softly and shook my head. Adorable. "I need to go now. Maybe Jaekyoon oppa is looking for me now." I reasoned out and turned around to go towards the elevator, not waiting for his answer because I felt the embarrassment crept on me now.

Why did I even kiss him? Stupid, Joohyun!
