Jisoo's POV
I stopped at the door of my grandparents' house and knocked on it. I decided to visit them today because it has been a while since I last visited them.

I smiled after I saw my grandma open the door for me. She looked surprised after she saw me, but quickly gave me a warm smile and hugged me immediately, which I returned the gesture to her.

"Aigoo, I thought you already forgot about us. I missed you, Jisooya." She said while hugging me.

I softly laughed after we pulled away from each other, "I will never forget you, Grandma. I'm sorry for not visiting you. I was just swamped these past few months."

"I understand. Being a celebrity is really a hard job. Let's go inside. Your grandpa will be happy to see you." She said with a smile and opened the door widely.

I removed my shoes first at the entryway before entering the house. I smiled when I saw my grandpa sitting on the couch in the living room and busy watching the television.

"Grandpa!" I said while running towards him and hugged him. "I missed you, Grandpa! How are you?" I pulled away from him to look at him.

He looked like he couldn't believe what he was seeing right now. "Are you really Jisoo? My granddaughter?"

I laughed, "Yes, Grandpa. I'm really Jisoo."

He was about to say something when someone suddenly spoke. "Breakfast is rea--- Jisoo?"

Why is she here?! I looked at that person who was looking at me in surprise. After that, I looked at my grandparents, who were worriedly looking at me.

I cleared my throat, "Uhmm... I'll just visit you next time, grandma, grandpa." I was about to leave when Mom spoke. Yeah, she's here.

"I'll just leave instead. Your grandparents missed you already."

I looked at her expressionless. "No need. I'll just visit them when you're not here."

I saw the pain in her eyes when I said that, but I just ignored it and started to walk outside. When I was going to pass by my grandma, I looked at her when she held my wrist.

"At least eat breakfast first before leaving?" My grandma looked at me with a pleading face.

Honestly, I haven't had breakfast yet because I decided to have breakfast with my grandparents.

I sighed in defeat, "Okay, Grandma."

My grandma smiled, "Let's go then." I nodded, and we all went to the dining area after I put my backpack on the couch.

I could say that it was an awkward breakfast. My grandparents tried to lighten up the mood by asking questions to me while my mom was just silent the whole time.

After we had breakfast, I just thanked them for the meal and bid our goodbyes before I went to the living area to get my backpack.

I was startled when someone held my hand when I was about to open the door with my other hand. I looked at who it was, and it was Mom.

"What do you want?" I asked with a straight face.

"Can... Can we talk?" She asked hesitantly.

"For what? To ask me again to accept your husband and daughter?" I scoffed and looked away. "No thanks."

I tried to sway her hand, but she tightened her grip on me. "I just wanted to say sorry." I unconsciously stopped moving when she said that because, all these past years, she just kept on asking me to accept her family. And we didn't get the chance to talk about us. "I'm sorry for hurting you, for making you feel that I'm hiding you from the public because I don't want to stain the image that I have now. But I'm doing that because I wanted to protect you. You know how cruel the people are. I don't want you to get hurt because of what I did in the past. I'm sorry for not being a mother to you. For not thinking about your feelings whenever I asked you to accept Ji-tae and Jimin. I'm really sorry." She let go of my hand after she spoke.
