Hae In's POV
I messaged Seulgi after I arrived at the back of JiSeul restaurant, where there is a parking space that is exclusive only for the owner.

There is also a door here leading to their office. I heard Seulgi had it customized with the help of a remodeler for Jisoo, so she wouldn't have to go into the restaurant only to go to their office. That's why there are two doors in their office. One is in the back, and the other is inside the restaurant.

I looked at my window when someone knocked on it. I went outside when I saw that it was Seulgi.

"Is she busy?" I asked, referring to Jisoo.

"She's checking the restaurant's inventory, but you can talk to her," Seulgi answered.

I sighed heavily. "I'm nervous. Can I do it next time?"

"You can, but she might be mine that time." He chuckled.

If you weren't my cousin, I would have buried you alive long ago. I scoffed, "Then, I'll date Miss Irene."

His face became serious, but eventually smirked. "Try then. You won't succeed anyway. She won't break up with her handsome boyfriend merely to date you." He proudly said.

I frowned. Is he on good terms now with that Bogum, or has he already moved on from her? Is that why he's hitting on Jisoo now?

I shrugged my thoughts off. "Whatever. I'll go now."

He nodded and looked at me teasingly. "Good luck, hyung." I was about to leave when he spoke again. "And if ever you succeed later, I'll tell Jisoo you plan to date another woman." He laughed after he said that.

Before I could say anything to him, he already ran to his car and drove away. "The heck..." I mumbled while looking at the road he took.

After that, I walked towards the door and took a deep breath before entering.

"Oppa, I thought you had already le--- oppa?" Jisoo didn't finish what she was about to say when she looked up at me. She looked surprised and confused while holding the mouse of her laptop. "What... What are you doing here, oppa?"

I cleared my throat first before speaking. "I just want to inform you that I will resign as your manager," I said calmly, even though my heart was pounding like crazy.

She gasped, "Why? Is there any problem, oppa?" She asked while closing her laptop that she was busy with earlier.

"Seulgi told me that you already know who my father is, right?" She nodded and waited for what I had to say. "Dad wants me to replace him in the company, so I will resign now from being a manager."

"Oh." She commented, and I'm not sure if what I saw in her eyes was sadness that quickly disappeared. She smiled after. "I'm happy for you, oppa. And thank you for telling me personally. Do my members know about this?"

I shook my head. "You're the first person I told about this after Seulgi, but I'll tell them later."

She nodded, "Is that all you want to say?"

I took another deep breath to calm my heart, which was still beating fast because of nervousness and her. "Iwouldalsoliketoaskifyouloveme?" I quickly asked.

"Pardon?" She asked confusedly.

"Do you love me?" I asked, making sure she understood what I said.

She looked dumbfounded at what I asked. I was getting more and more nervous as time went by that she didn't answer me.

"W-why did you a-ask?" She spoke after she recovered.

"Because I want to know if I have a chance with you before I go abroad."
