Jisoo's POV
I rang the doorbell of Seulgi oppa's condo and waited for him to open the door. I know his passcode, but, of course, I still wanted to respect his privacy."Hey, come in." Seulgi oppa said after he opened the door. He closed it again after I entered. "Let's eat. The food is ready."
I just nodded, and we went to the dining area, where food was already on the table. I gulped when I looked at it. It looks delicious.
We started to eat silently, and we were about to finish eating when I broke the silence. "What happened, oppa?"
He swallowed his food and sighed heavily. "Mom and Yeji already know about Dad."
The food I was about to eat fell from my chopsticks after I heard that. "What?! What did they say to you?!"
He drank water first and looked at me before speaking. "They got mad at me." He said with sadness in his eyes. He looked at his plate. "I don't know what to feel. Will I be mad too or will I just understand them? I mean, I understand they're mad because I took away their right to know the truth. But didn't they think it was difficult for me too? They have no idea how it hurts me every time I see Dad in pain. Every time I see him suffering, not only from his cancer but from longing for them."
"Did you explain your side?"
He looked at me and shook his head slowly. "They don't want to hear my side because I might just lie again. I was a bit disappointed because I always think of them before myself. I'm willing to sacrifice just for their own good. But they didn't try to hear me out and know my side. I tried my best to be a good son and brother, but I think it's not enough for them."
"Maybe you just need time. Let the storm of your emotions subside first, and when you feel you're okay, then talk again."
He sighed, "You're right. I'm also remorseful for raising my voice to them. I was just hurt because of what they said. But I know that isn't a valid reason to do that."
"That really happens sometimes." He smiled at what I said and continued to eat. "Anyway, I'm curious. How did they know about your dad?"
He swallowed his food. "They heard Hae In hyung and my grandparents talking about it earlier."
Maybe that was why when I asked Hae In oppa to drive me to Seulgi oppa's condo, he immediately agreed even though he was eating with Redpink's road managers. He might be guilty of what happened.
"Are you mad at them?" I asked curiously, referring to Hae In oppa and their grandparents.
"No, I'm not. I know Mom and Yeji will find out the truth one day. I just wished they found out about it tomorrow because Dad was planning to show up to them tomorrow and tell the truth. But, yeah, expect the unexpected." He said and shrugged his shoulders.
When we finished eating, oppa was about to wash the dishes, but I volunteered. He didn't insist and just let me do it, saying he wasn't really feeling well right now.
"Oppa, can I borrow your clothes? My clothes are dirty now." I said when he was about to leave the kitchen. My clothes got stained because the food fell there when I was surprised earlier.
"Sure, just choose from my closet. Anyway, I'm just going to my room to take a nap. Just wake me up when we're going to watch, okay?"
I told him earlier to watch a movie together because there's a movie that I wanted to watch now.
"Okay, oppa," I said, and he left after that.
After washing the dishes, I went to his room to choose what to wear from his closet. I shook my head with a smile when I saw him sleeping, his shirt on the bedside table, but covered himself in his blanket up to his chest.
