Seulgi's POV
I'm at Joohyuna's house now. And earlier, Uncle was even surprised when he saw me in front of their house because he thought I had forgotten our talk.

I promised Uncle I would help him cook for Auntie's birthday when Joohyuna introduced me to them as her boyfriend. I was glad that her family seemed happy when she introduced me to them, and they also warmly welcomed me into their family.

"The birthday celebrant is now on her way here." Uncle Yong-joon stated after he returned to the kitchen. He left earlier when Auntie Sung-ryung called him on the phone.

"Really? I'm about to finish, anyway. How about you, uncle?" I conversed with him while focusing on cooking.

"I think it will take some time to finish," Uncle answered.

"Is there anything else you want to cook, uncle?"

"There isn't. We have finished cooking five dishes now. We might not be able to finish eating if we add more." We laughed at what he said.

"Okay, uncle."

I turned off the stove and prepared a food bowl after finishing cooking. I was busy putting food in the bowl but was interrupted when someone suddenly hugged me from behind. That scent... That's my woman.

I continued what I was doing after recognizing it was her and planned to tease her. "Hey, Soo-bin. How are you?" I said while not looking at her.

She immediately pulled away from me and hit my arm. I was thankful I had finished putting the food in the bowl before she hit me.

"What did you say?! Are you letting Soo-bin do that to you?!" She asked in irritation.

I laughed before looking at her. I also heard Uncle laugh. I acted like I was surprised when I saw her. "Oh. It's you, my woman. How's your day?"

I was about to hug her, but she stepped backward while glaring at me. "Don't you dare hug me."

I looked at Uncle, who was still busy cooking. "Uncle, look at your beautiful daughter. She doesn't want me to hug her."

Uncle laughed, "Suffer for what you did, Seulgi."

I pouted and was about to say something when I heard Auntie's voice. "Oh, looks delicious!" Maybe she's referring to the foods we cooked that are now on the dining table. And after seconds, she appeared in the kitchen. "What's with your face, Gomi?" Auntie asked when she saw me.

"Auntie~ they wrangle me," I complained with a pitiful face while walking towards her.

"What?! You're the one who started it, Seulgi. You called me by another name." Joohyuna said in annoyance.

"Look, Auntie," I said and clung onto her arm.

"Why did you call her by another name, anyway?" Auntie whispered to me.

"I was just teasing her, Auntie," I also whispered and pouted.

Auntie laughed, "Wrong move, Gomi. You know that she's grumpy, right?" She whispered again.

I nodded like a kid, "But she's so cute when she's annoyed, Auntie." Auntie laughed at what I said.

"Are you bad-mouthing me to Mom?" Joohyuna chimed into our conversation.

I looked at her and quickly shook my head when I saw her eyebrows were already furrowed. "I'm not! I was only telling Auntie how cute you are. Right, Auntie?" I glanced at Auntie and saw her nod while Joohyuna just hissed at me as if she didn't believe what I said. I just gave her a sweet smile in response before turning to Auntie to hug her, and she hugged me back. "Happy birthday, auntie. I hope you enjoy what we cooked. And I bought a gift for you that uncle brought to your room. I know you don't need me to buy you material things because you can buy anything, but I did it anyway as a small thank you for everything you did for my dad." I said that only she could hear.
