Chapter 32

Seulgi's POV
I was walking towards the lobby when I saw Wendy and Joohyuna talking to Suho hyung and Sehun. I pretended not to see them and continued walking towards the elevator when I heard Wendy call me.

"Yah! Kang Seulgi!"

I acted surprised when I looked at them. "Oh, hi, guys." I greeted them with a smile and bowed at them.

"Hi, Seulgi/hyung." They greeted me back, except Wendy, who was glaring at me.

"Let's talk," Wendy told me as she held my arm. She looked at the others. "Please excuse us." She said, and they just nodded in response.

"What's wrong?" I asked in confusion after she stopped dragging me to the corner.

She frowned, "You didn't reply to my messages for almost a week now."

I chuckled, "Oh, I thought you just wanted to tell me what was on your mind that day."

"There were questions to my messages, Kang Seulgi." She said in irritation.

I laughed. "Okay, I'll answer it. I'm still early for our practice anyway." I took my phone and read her first message that time. "How could you flirt with your ex? And not just your ex, she also has a boyfriend! What if you get into a fight because of that?!" I looked at her after. "I didn't flirt with Chaeyeon at that time because I knew she had a boyfriend, and I didn't want to get a fight with anyone. I only comforted her because her boyfriend got jealous and tried to break up with her. Her boyfriend saw the video of our busking in Japan and thought we kissed. He also saw us had physical contact while we walked here at the lobby where I was only helping Chaeyeon because her foot sprained that time."

"Continue," Wendy ordered.

"And you even touched her! You're not the type who would touch a girl. You rarely hug us back when we hug you! And noted, you didn't lay your hands on us! But to her, you even patted her back!" I read her second message to me and looked at her again. "I used to hug her when we were together, but it was my first time to hug her again after we broke up. And I didn't touch you or anyone else, except my family, because I don't want you all to feel uncomfortable around me. But if you really wanted to feel my embrace, come here." I opened my arms widely. "I'll give it to you," I said and gave her a playful smile.

"Stop the flirt, Seulgi. Continue to explain." Wendy said and crossed her arms.

I chuckled and put down my hands. "You said you didn't like her. Did your feelings change again, or did you lie to me?!" "And I thought Yeji is special to you?! How could you do that to her?!" I read her last two questions and looked at her. "My feelings didn't change, and what I told you before was true. I didn't like her anymore, but she always had a place in my heart. And about Yeji..." I trailed off and looked around first to see if someone would hear what I was about to say. But I felt a familiar feeling after I saw Sehun's arms on Joohyuna's shoulder. I just ignored what I felt and looked at Wendy again after making sure no one could hear me. "She's special to me because she is my younger sister."

Wendy's eyes widened, "Why did you just tell me that now?! I thought she was special to you because you have feelings for her!" She whispered-shouted.

I chuckled, "Aside from enjoying your reaction, Yeji told me not to tell anyone because it might reach the public. She doesn't want the public to know about our family, and she also wants to protect us."

"Then why did you tell it to me now? Won't your sister be mad with you, or you won't tell her that you said that to me?" She asked in confusion.

"I'll tell it to her later. And don't worry, she won't be mad at me because I will assure her that we can trust you. You're my best friend, right?"

Wendy smiled at what I said and hugged me. "Thank you for trusting me, Seulgi. Anyway, you can hug me with your hands on my back. I'm comfortable around you because, of course, you're my best friend."

I laughed and hugged her with my hands on her back. "Is it still okay even if your oppa is here?" I whispered to her.

She quickly shook her head and pulled away from our hug. "Of course not. I don't want him to be jealous."

I chuckled, "Just kidding. Anyway, is there anything else you want to know?"

She thinks for a second before speaking. "What about Miss IU? You said she's also special to you. And I heard what you two said about in-laws. Do you want her to be your girlfriend?"

I shook my head. "Ji-eun noona is my childhood friend because her dad and my dad are best friends. And my dad is currently living in their house. Auntie, noona's mother, always teased me and noona to each other because Auntie wanted me for her daughter. But I don't want her or anyone to be my girlfriend. I'm just enjoying myself to be single now."

Wendy nodded, "Okay. You can go now."

I chuckled and shook my head at what she said. "Unbelievable. You will throw me away after you get what you want from me?"

She laughed, "You might be late for your practice."

I looked at my phone before I looked at her again. "It's still early, but I'm leaving now. I'm going to do my session."

"Are you not going to stop doing that? It's not good for your health." She said in concern. "And it's a minus point to Irene unnie." She whispered.

I chuckled, "Stop rooting on us, Son Seungwan."

"I won't stop, Seulgi-ya. And I want to tell you something." She moved her head a little bit to my side. "I've noticed that Suho oppa is making a move to Irene unnie after we return from Japan. I think he is hitting on her. So, if I were you, I'd start to make a move now before I regret it later."

If and only if I like Joohyuna, I think I will not make a move because I know she loves someone. I don't want to get hurt again.

"Sorry to say, but you're not me," I said and laughed when she glared at me. "Anyway, what are you doing here?"

"Unnie and I had just finished the last recording for our song when Jaekyoon oppa messaged unnie that he would say something to her. So I accompany unnie while waiting for Dohwan oppa to arrive to drive me to my next schedule."

I nodded, "What about Joy and Yeri? Where are they?"

"Joy is getting her measurements for her outfits for the music video and our performances, while Yeri has a photo shoot now."

"Where is Dohwan hyung?"

"Oppa is with Yeri. He texted me that they were on their way here because Yeri will record the song later."

I nodded. "You're very busy, huh?"

She sighed, "Yeah. And tomorrow, we will start to film our music video. So, it will also be exhausting."

"But you're happy doing that, right?" She nodded. "That's good then. It's worth it as long as you're happy doing it."

She smiled, "You're right."

I returned the smile. "Anyway, I got to go now. Stay healthy, okay? Bye."

"Bye," Wendy said, and we waved our hands to each other while I walked away from her.
