Chapter 48

Seulgi's POV
It was my off today, and I was sitting on the corner of Pojangmacha waiting for Sunmi noona because she wanted to meet me here at 5:30 pm. While waiting, I ordered a chimaek for us. Chimaek is chicken and beer.

"Bear!" Sunmi noona arrived at exactly 5:30 pm.

I smiled and stood up to greet her. "As expected, you still look pretty, noona," I said after she hugged me as a greeting.

"Small thing." She said and flipped her hair. "How are you? It's been a while since we last saw each other." She asked as she sat in front of me.

I sat down and poured the beer into the two glasses. I gave the other one to her. "I'm good. I'm starting to get along with my new team in YM Entertainment." I answered and ate chicken after.

It's already been three weeks since I started to join the Hype dance crew under YM Entertainment. And we have been learning the choreography of the Blackvelvet comeback song for two weeks now. But before I joined the Hype dance crew, I asked first for permission from Heechul hyung, and he was okay with that.

Sunmi noona looked at me with wide eyes. "You left your team in SG Entertainment because you would join the YM Entertainment dance crew?!"

I chuckled and shook my head. "No. It's not like that. It was just timing that after I left the Groovy dance crew, my cousin, who works in YM Entertainment, persuaded me to join their company. So, I joined, especially since my second crush is there." I said and laughed.

"Yah. What about Irene unnie? I'm still hoping that one day, you two will date."

My smile faded after I heard her name, and I'm glad Sunmi noona didn't notice it because she looked at the chicken and chose one to eat. So, I tried to smile again before she looked at me so she wouldn't be bewildered by my reaction.

"Move on, noona. There's no chance between us." I said and drank.

She swallowed the food first in her mouth before speaking. "No. I will still hope until I die. Anyway, why did you leave your previous team?"

"It's connected to what happened to me, so I left my team. I don't want to be in trouble again." No. I don't want to cause trouble for her.

She looked surprised at what I said. "Is the person who did that to you in your team or our company?!"

I poured the beer into my glass again after I emptied it. "Nope. But I think that person wants me to stay away from someone in the SG company, and I don't know who that someone is. So, to make sure, I decided to leave while that person was still warning me." I reasoned out because I couldn't tell her the truth.

She nodded, "I understand now why you left." She said and drank. "Anyway, except that I missed you, I want to ask you a favor, so I decided to meet you tonight."

"What is it?" I asked curiously.

She sighed heavily, "It's about Irene unnie and Wendy. They haven't spoken with each other in weeks now. And netizens noticed this when they performed at a dream concert yesterday." Dream Concert is one of the biggest annual K-pop festivals in South Korea and Asia, which features some of the most in-demand K-pop stars of the year. "I already talked to them separately, but they didn't tell me what happened. I'm afraid they'll prolong it until they shoot the fun and informational video about the environment. Like, how will they do it fun when the atmosphere between them is awkward?" She shared problematically. "So, can you talk to Wendy? She's your best friend, right?"

I nodded, "Okay, noona. I'll call her later and try my best to help you."

"No, let's go to their dorm now." She said and stood up. "It's hard if you just talk to her on the phone because she'll hang up if she doesn't like the topic. So, let's go." She said and grabbed my wrist.

"Calm down, noona. I'll just tell her to meet me somewhere. They have rules in their dorm. Wendy told me before that they can't just bring someone there, even if it's close to them. They still need to ask permission from others before they can bring someone there." And I'm not yet ready to see her again.

She shook her head, "Don't worry. I'm the one who will bring you there. I'm not part of their rules. And it will take time, bear. I don't want to prolong this. So please, let's go to their dorm now."

I sighed in defeat. I think I can't say no because Sunmi noona looks really stressed right now. "Fine. Let me finish this first." I said while pointing to the glass of beer. I need it to make me brave.

She nodded while letting go of my wrist and smiled happily. "Thank you, bear!"

I just smiled at her and drank the glass of beer straight before I stood up. "Let's go."

We were still sober, so Sunmi noona drove her car while I drove my motor. And while I was on the way toward Redpink's dorm, my heart didn't stop beating fast.

I was still nervous but trying hard to compose myself when Sunmi noona pressed the doorbell at Redpink's dorm, and we waited for someone to open it.

After seconds, the door opened, and we saw Yeri behind it. She smiled when she saw Sunmi noona. "Hi, unnie. Why are you---" She didn't finish her question when she noticed I was there too. "Seulgi oppa?!" She asked in shock.

I smiled. "Hi there, my turtle."

She immediately hugged me, "I didn't expect you to be here tonight." She said and pulled away from me. She looked at Sunmi noona and me again with confusion on her face. "Why are you both here, anyway?"

"I brought him here hoping to help me settle the issue between Irene unnie and Wendy." Sunmi noona answered.

"I'm here for Wendy. Where is she?" I asked.

"She's in her room. She's not in the mood, so be careful." Yeri said and opened the door widely for us.

Yeri closed the door after we entered their dorm. We came out from the entryway after we took off our shoes, and Joy, who was watching TV in the living area, seemed surprised when she saw us. She got up from the couch and ran towards me.

"Oppaaa." She said while running and hugged me when she came close. "I'm glad to see you here." She said as she pulled away from me.

I smiled at her, "Hi, my chick. Long time no see. You're still pretty, even without makeup."

"I already know that oppa," Joy said and jokingly rolled her eyes.

"Yah, oppa. Why didn't you say that to me earlier?" Yeri asked, sulking.

I chuckled, "Because you spoke right before I could say that. Anyway, I wanted to talk to Wendy now. Can you tell me where is her room?"

"Over there. On the second door." Joy answered while pointing her finger to my right side.

"Alright, thank you. I'll leave you here now." I said, and they nodded in response.

"I'll wait for you here, bear." Sunmi noona said.

"No need, noona. You can go home first. I'll just update you later."

"Are you sure?" I nodded at her as an answer. "Okay. Thank you again, bear." She quickly hugged me and bid goodbye to us before she left. I think she really wanted to go home.
