Seulgi's POV
"You mean... Bogum oppa is the reason why you got beat up?!"

I nodded, "Yeah," I shared with her what hyung and his co-lawyer told me and what we discussed that day. "I have a hunch that he was jealous that's why he did that," I stated after sharing. "But I am confused about why he was jealous and why he did that to me when we only met once, plus we didn't even talk that time. So, I asked my cousin if he could investigate him more for me. He agreed and asked for help from his co-lawyer again, who also willingly agreed. And this morning, before I went to work, I talked to them. They found out that he started stalking her after the meeting with the production team. And he saw me many times, always giving flowers to his girlfriend after the music shows. So, I understand now why he was jealous even though we just met once. I mean, even though I met him once."

Wendy looked like she couldn't believe what she heard and was still processing what I told her. "Is he crazy?" She spoke after a few minutes.

I shrugged, "I don't know." I opened another can again and drank. "Maybe he's obsessed with his girlfriend or afraid I will get her from him." I scoffed. "As if I can. His girlfriend is head over heels in love with him." I tightened my jaw to repress my emotions before emptying the beer can.

Wendy sighed, "I couldn't believe he could do such a thing. I thought he was a fine man."

"I thought so, too. That was also one of the reasons why I decided to stay away from her. I'm afraid he might hurt her because of jealousy. So, I prevented it before it happened." I drank again from my newly opened beer can. "I hope this doesn't happen, but can you contact me if you sense something that would harm her?"

She nodded, "You'll be the first person I'll contact if ever that happens."

"And can you please not tell her what I told you about her boyfriend?"

"But we need to warn unnie. What if Bogum oppa does something crazy to her?" Wendy said worriedly.

"That's why I need you to look after her. But I don't think he would do something to her. Maybe to the people around her, but not to her. So, be careful, okay?" I said jokingly at the latter and chuckled afterward.

She hit my arm, "Yah. Don't scare me!"

I laughed, "Just kidding."

She rolled her eyes, "Anyway, what happened to you this past week?"

"Nothing special. I just went home and stayed there for a week to rest my mind. I also help my mom to her flower shop. And as I said earlier, I just got back here this morning. I still have to work for Dad's needs and for the loan I have to pay to his doctor."

She nodded at what I said. "I didn't expect that I would see you earlier. But you didn't seem surprised to see us. And you also looked professional, huh?"

"I also didn't expect that I would see you earlier. Do you know how nervous I was when the waiter, who is my friend, told me that Jisoo wanted to talk to me? The waiter also mentioned she was with her members and the Redpink group. So, I tried my best to compose myself and be professional in front of you all, even though I wanted to run away from the restaurant earlier." I said, and we laughed after.

"Anyway, I noticed you didn't look at unnie earlier. You really look like you don't know each other."

I drank and sighed. "You don't know how hard it was for me earlier not to look at her and not to talk to her. I missed her, Son Seungwan. But I have to do that for her. And also, every time I see or think of her, I always remember the time I saw them kiss. It was torture for me. So, in the past week, I avoided watching TV or scrolling through my SNS because they were always on the news. The netizens really like their chemistry, and I can't blame them because their chemistry is really outstanding." I said and drank again.

"Of course, you can't scroll through your SNS because you forgot your phone here."

"Actually, I never forgot my phone here. I intentionally left my phone here because I know you will contact me." I said and laughed.

She glared at me, "Do you really consider me as your best friend?"

I chuckled, "Of course I do. I wouldn't tell you all my problems if I didn't consider you as my best friend. I only don't want to see someone who can be related to her because it causes me to remember her. And every time I remember her, it keeps playing the not-so-good scene in my mind, which is not good for me. But I guessed I have to face my fear to keep moving forward in life." I said and opened another can to drink.

She nodded in agreement, "Anyway, did you really give your phone number to Jisoo?" She asked curiously.

I nodded, "I did. Who am I to refuse that kind of opportunity? You know she is my crush, don't you? Perhaps she's the one destined for me." I said and laughed.

"Yah. Stop flirting with others. I'm still rooting you for unnie, especially since you already have feelings for her." She said and smiled like an idiot.

"Yah. Stop rooting for us. Move on. She already has a boyfriend, and I'm starting to move on from her."

She raised her eyebrow, "Can you move on from her?"

"Of course, I can. I only like her. I believe it will be gone if I start moving on from her now, like how I moved on from Chaeyeon, whom I loved before. If love fades, so does liking."

"Sorry, but I don't want to move on. I'm rooting for the both of you until the end."

I chuckled, "Do whatever you want, and I'll do whatever I want. We all have the freedom to do whatever we want."

"Yeah. I will really do what I want." She said and took her phone, which was on the center table when it lit. She looked at me after she typed something on her phone. "I have to go. Unnie is looking for me now. I didn't know that it was getting late." She said and stood up.

I also stood up, "I'll take you home. I'm still sober."

She shook her head, "No, thanks. I already messaged Dohwan oppa to pick me up."

I nodded and walked her to the door. "Please be good to your leader. She only looks like she has no problem, but she is also struggling." I said when she finished putting on her shoes, and we were in front of the door.

"Don't worry. I'm always good to her."

"You're not sure about that," I said and shrugged my shoulder nonchalantly. "She used to tell me so much about you."

"What?!" She asked in surprise.

I laughed, "Just kidding. Anyway, let's go. I'll take you to the basement parking."

She shook her head, "No need. I can manage myself." She glanced at her phone. "Oh, oppa is already there." She hugged me. "I missed you, Seulgi."

I hugged her back. "I know." I chuckled when she hit my back because of my response. "I missed you too. Thank you for listening to me. Take care, okay?"

We pulled away from our hug after. "And thank you for trusting me. And I will not only take care of myself but also your woman." She said and smirked at me before leaving my condo.

I just shook my head with a smile while looking at the door as if she was still there. After that, I go back to the living area to continue drinking.
