Seulgi's POV
I knocked on the door where Joy said it was Wendy's room and waited for her to open it."I'm still full. I'll just eat later." Wendy said inside the room. Maybe she thought that I was Joy or Yeri. I chuckled before knocking on her door again. And later on, the door opened, and Wendy's irritated face appeared. "What do you w--- Seulgi?!" Her eyes widened when she saw me.
I smiled, "Yes, it's me. Your handsome best friend."
She frowned, "Are you drunk?" Maybe she smelled the alcohol on me.
I chuckled and shook my head. "No. I'm not. Can I come in?"
Even though she looked confused, she still nodded and opened the door for me. "Why... Why are you here?" She asked after she closed the door when I entered.
I took the seat of her vanity mirror and turned it to face her bed before I sat there and looked at her. "Sunmi noona is now stressed because of you and your leader. So, she asked me to talk to you." I stated after I leaned on the chair.
She walked towards her bed. "Why don't you just call me, then? I'm bored here anyway." She said with a frown and sat on the edge of her bed across from me.
"I said that to noona, that I would just call you, but she said you might hang up on me when you know what we are going to talk about. So, she brought me here because she doesn't want to prolong it." I sighed because it was against my will to go here. "What happened? Didn't I tell you to be good to your leader?"
She looked away with an annoyed face as if she remembered the day they fought. "I just asked her why did she do that to you." She said and told me what they talked about that day.
"I told you not to tell her what I told you that night, right?" I said after she told me everything.
She frowned at me, "Yah. You just told me not to tell about Bogum oppa, idiot."
I scratched my head while slightly looking up with a confused face, thinking if she was right. "Is that what I said?" I mumbled before I looked at her again. "Even so, you shouldn't say anything to her about what she did to me."
"Are you on her side?" She asked in annoyance.
I shook my head. "No. I'm not taking on any side. You both have a reason. But you know her, don't you? You know that she will not do anything without a valid reason. Just like what you discovered that day, that she didn't decide to make me stay away from her just because her boyfriend was jealous, but because she was afraid of losing him again. And I understand her if she chose her boyfriend over me. She first met him before me. I think you will also pick D.O. hyung if you have to choose between me and hyung because you and him have been through a lot before we met. And even if I'm wrong, that you will still choose your friends over your boyfriend no matter how long you have known them. You know that we have different weaknesses and strengths, Son Seungwan. Not because you can do it, she can do it too. And even if she made a mistake in her decision, it's natural. We do make mistakes sometimes in our lives. We're human. We are not designated to be perfect. And please remember that I'm not saying this because I'm on her side but because I wanted you to understand her even if she doesn't understand you. And I already told you she only looks like she has no problem, but I know what happened between you two was tough for her, especially since she's a leader. Remember, she has struggles and difficulties to endure, not just as an idol but also as a leader." I spoke calmly and carefully for her to understand it.
She exhaled and looked away with a guilty expression. "Okay, I'll try to make it up with her later."
"Really?!" I happily asked.
She nodded and looked at me, "Yeah. Thanks for making me understand. You're the best." She raised her fist in front, and I stood up to fist-bumped with her.
I took my phone in my pocket when it beeped. Hae In hyung messaged me.
"I mentioned to Jimin noona that you're now working at YM Entertainment. She said you have not seen each other for a while now. So, she wants us to have dinner with you tonight since I have nothing to do now. We will wait for you at the company."
"Okay, hyung. I'm coming." I replied. After that, I looked at Wendy. "Uhmm... I have to go now." I pointed my thumb at the door. "My cousin's girlfriend wanted to see me and wanted to have dinner with me."
She raised her eyebrow, "Just the two of you?"
I chuckled, "Of course not. My cousin is with us." She nodded in response before standing up. "Hope you two reconcile tonight."
"I hope so, too." She said and sighed. "Let's go. I'll walk you out." She said and went out of her room first.
I stopped when we were in the living area, where Joy and Yeri were busy watching a movie. "Hey ladies, I'm leaving now," I announced and waved at them.
"It's still early, oppa. Let's watch movies first," Joy said.
"She's right. Let's watch horror movies, oppa. Our fans recommended a lot. They said it's really terrifying." Yeri seconded.
"I want to, but I have to meet someone, ladies. I'm sorry." I said apologetically.
"Maybe next time, girls. He still has somewhere to go." Wendy said.
She grabbed my hand and pulled me away from them. Maybe she sensed that I didn't want to stay here for long. I don't want to see their leader for now.
I put on my shoes and stopped her when we got to the door as she was about to open it. "You don't have to go out. I can manage myself."
She faced me, "Aren't you really drunk? Can you really drive now?" She asked worriedly.
I smiled in assurance and nodded, "Yeah. Don't worry about me. Worry about your issue with your leader." I said and chuckled.
She sighed problematically, "Can you give me strength? I feel weak, and I'm nervous right now. I don't know how to talk to her."
I thought about what I could do and suddenly remembered something. I spread my arms with a smile. "Come here. I'll give you strength."
She softly laughed before she hugged me. We just broke from our hug when the door opened. My heart suddenly skipped a beat, but at the same time, it ached when I saw the two people standing in front of us.
Wendy's leader stood at the door with a serious expression, while her leader's boyfriend looked at me and Wendy with a shocked face.
Wendy's leader looked at me. "Why are you here?" Is that how much she doesn't want to see me? She looked at Wendy after. "You know that we have rules, Wendy." She said firmly.
Wendy looked annoyed at what her leader said. She was about to speak when I held her hand to stop her and brought my face close to her ear to whisper. "Calm down. You're going to make up with her, right?" I looked at her leader after. "I'm sorry for that. And it's not her fault. She didn't bring me here. And don't worry, I'm leaving now. I'm sorry again, Ms. Irene." I said and bowed at her and her boyfriend.
I was about to leave when I looked at Wendy because she didn't let go of my hand. I raised my eyebrows with questioning eyes.
"Text me if you got home safe," Wendy softly said.
I smiled, "Okay." I said and left them after she let go of my hand.
