Seulgi's POV
"Surprise!" Yeji and I said in unison when our mom opened the door of our house after we knocked several times. Our mom looked at us in astonishment. "I thought you weren't coming home?"
"Of course, we said that to surprise you, Mom," Yeji said with a smile.
Mom laughed softly, "Silly. Come here. Give your mom a hug." She said and spread her arms.
The two of us embraced her. "We missed you, Mom." We said and pulled from a hug.
"Get inside now. Someone might see us here and take a picture." She opened the door widely. "I didn't hear your motor, Seulgi. Did you two take a cab or bus?" Mom asked as we walked to the living area after we removed our shoes from the entryway and wore indoor slippers.
"I turned off the engine before we reached the gate and just pushed it into the garage," I answered.
"Oh, that's why." Mom said as we sat on the couch. "By the way, I didn't cook dinner because I thought you wouldn't come home. I was only planning to order a meal for myself."
Yeji laughed, "I would say that you were sulking here before we came, Mom."
Mom grimaced, "Who wouldn't? It's been a long time since I last saw you. I'm just glad that it reduced the sadness when I'm in the flower shop." Mom looked at me. "And you, Seulgi. You kept ordering flowers. I was wondering who you gave all of those."
I chuckled, "I give those flowers to girl group idols, who are my friends, to motivate them."
Whenever Redpink has a music show, I order before the show. So, I'm ready if they win. And even if they don't win, I still give it to bring a smile to their lips.
"Then why are you not giving me one, oppa?" Yeji frowned at me.
I laughed, "Because I'm not close to your manager, baby. I know they will not accept any gifts from the fans unless it's a letter." She pouted at what I answered. "But I promised I would give you a bouquet when you have an award on Golden Disc Award next year."
"Oppa! You know it's hard to win at that award ceremony!" Yeji whined.
"I know your group can make it, baby. I'm rooting for you. Fighting!" I raised my fist in the air.
Yeji pouted but smiled later on. "Thanks, oppa."
"Anyway, I'm not done with my topic earlier." Mom looked at me. "Do you like someone in the group you are giving flowers to?"
I chuckled, "I like them all, Mom. But if you were talking about romantic attraction, I don't."
"Oh. You still like Chaeyeon, oppa?" Yeji asked me with a teasing look.
I laughed and shook my head. "I don't like her anymore, baby. And don't you remember that she already has a boyfriend?"
"They can still be separated, right, Mom?" Yeji looked at Mom.
"Yeah. The married couple can still separate. How much more if it's just boyfriend and girlfriend only?" Mom smiled but didn't reach her eyes. "Let's eat. I'm a bit famished." She took her phone from her pocket. "What do you want to eat, kids? I'll just order." Mom asked and was busy typing.
I nudged Yeji discreetly. I gave her a meaningful look after she looked at me. And she mouthed 'sorry' with guilt on her face as a response.
I just shook my head and looked at Mom. "Let's just eat outside, Mom. I want to date my two gorgeous women." I said and stood up. "I know you won't cook tonight, and you will be sulking in your room. So I asked In-Youp hyung to reserve a room at the restaurant that has good security."
"Why did you bother your cousin? You know he's a busy man." Mom said and stopped typing on her phone.
"I asked him first if he was busy, and he said no. Besides, the owner of that restaurant is his friend. So he only called his friend for minutes and called me after to say that it was already settled." I said and grinned.
Mom sighed and shook her head. "Okay. But we still need to disguise, so get ready now."
Yeji giggled, "I will see my beautiful unnie again. I'm so excited." Mom laughed at what she said while I only grimaced because she was referring to me.
We went to our rooms to change, and I was the first to return to the living area, as expected.
"You're beautiful, unnie," Yeji commented when they arrived.
I groaned, "Mom, she's teasing me again." I complained.
I wore a sweater, overcoat, pants, and sneakers. Yeji wore a t-shirt, jean jacket, jeans, and closed shoes. Mom wore long sleeves shirt, cardigan jacket, trousers, and closed shoes.
We all wore facemasks and baseball caps. But I wore a baseball cap with a wig attached. I always wore a cap with a wig attached whenever I went outside with them or with Yeji. I have it in my condo too.
Mom laughed, "She's just telling the truth. You're really beautiful, Seulgi."
"Mom~" I whined and stomped my feet.
They both laughed. "Look. You even act like a girl, oppa." Yeji said.
I sighed, "You have to be thankful you're my baby."
"Thank you then!" Yeji said and clung to my arms. "Don't walk like a man, okay?"
"Okay, baby. But I won't walk like a woman either." I smiled at them afterward. "Let's go, beautiful ladies." They nodded, and we walked outside.
"Here's the key, Seulgi." Mom handed me her car key after we reached the garage.
After we got inside the car, I drove to the restaurant I reserved for us.
"Oppa, can you teach me and my members the dance step we were practicing? There are some parts that we didn't get." Yeji spoke after we sat in the private room at the restaurant.
I looked at her. "Don't you have a choreographer?"
She shook her head after she put some food on her plate. The food already arrived before we came here. "Our agency said we need to learn the step on our own even though we're still rookies. But the choreographer will monitor us when we record the dance practice to guide or correct us if there's incorrect with our step."
I nodded. I was surprised a little because, in SG Entertainment, the choreographer will teach the group that is still rookie.
"But isn't it illegal if Seulgi will teach you?" Mom asked.
"It's not illegal unless we get caught, Mom," Yeji said the line of our cousin and looked at me afterward. "Teach us, okay? I will video call you once we get back to work."
"Okay, baby."
"Thank you, oppa! I mean unnie." I just shook my head when Yeji and Mom laughed softly after Yeji said that.
