Chapter 57

Irene's POV
I was walking to the exit of the SG company to go home after my vocal lesson when I bumped into Suho.

"Hi, Irene. Can I talk to you for a minute?" He asked with a smile and a trace of nervousness on his face.

I nodded in response, and we went to a corner where no one could hear us. "What is it?" I asked curiously.

"Uhmm..." He seemed hesitant to say what he wanted to say. He took a deep breath before speaking, "Do you have anything to do tonight?" He asked slowly.

I thought for a while if I had a schedule or if Bogum and I were going out tonight before I shook my head. "I don't. Why?"

"Uhmm... Will you... Will you go out with me to Namsan Tower?" He asked timidly.

I frowned, "Are you asking me on a date?"

He scratched his neck, "Is it okay with you?" He asked while not looking at me.

I was taken aback a little at what he asked. I already felt he had feelings for me, but I just ignored it.

"I'm sorry, but I've been seeing someone else, Suho," I said carefully.

He smiled like he expected what I said. "I know. I only try my luck so that I don't regret it in the end."

"You knew?!" I asked in surprise.

He nodded, "It's Seulgi, isn't it?"

"Huh?" I asked in puzzlement.

"I already noticed it back then. Do you remember when Sehun, Wendy, you, and I were talking, then Seulgi was going to pass by, but Wendy called him?" I frowned and thought about that day. I nodded after I remembered it. "I saw how you kept glancing at them while they were talking in the corner, and you seemed jealous when they hugged. So, I concluded that you two are dating, which I think is also the reason why he left his team, so you two wouldn't be obvious. But it was obvious when I saw you talking to him a few weeks ago at the music show's backstage where you were hosting with Mr. Bogum. You seem to miss him while looking at him. I thought you wouldn't hold back and hug him, but you didn't." He said and chuckled.

I frowned, "What are you saying? I'm not talking about Seulgi." I don't know if I will laugh at what he said or what because his imagination is too broad.

He looked at me incredulously, "Are you kidding me?"

I shook my head. "I'm not."

"Then, who?" He asked with confusion on his face.

"I can't... I can't say who for his privacy."

He tilted his head like he couldn't believe that he was wrong. "But you know what, it was okay for me even though you rejected me because I thought you were now dating Seulgi. I was kinda relieved because I know you're in good hands. But I wish whoever the guy you were talking about was a good man like Seulgi. Anyway, I have to go now. My team might be mad at me now while waiting in the practice room." He chuckled and waved his hand. "Bye."

I waved back at him. "Bye."

I sighed after Suho left and walked towards the parking area where Manager Sunmi had been waiting for me for a while now.

After she drove me to the dorm, I thanked her first before I disembarked from her car.

"Hi, unnie. How's your day?" Wendy asked after I entered the living area of our dorm. She was sitting on the couch and was busy on her phone.

"Pretty good," I answered and sat next to her. "What are you doing?"

"As usual, searching for old good songs." She answered and looked at me. "Anyway, how are you and Seulgi? Did you two talk when Blackvelvet performed on the music show you hosted?"
