Seulgi's POV
"What happened to you?" Wendy asked me when she saw my face.

I was only sitting backstage with my team and talking random stuff with them when she and her members arrived.

I smiled to lessen Redpink's worries because they looked at me with worried faces. "A group of people beat me up when I was at the basement parking of my condo yesterday."

"Why did they do that?" Joy asked.

"I don't know. Maybe because they were envious of my face?" I joked, but I received a hit on my arm from Wendy. "Ouch!" She hit the part where one of my bruises was!

"You still have the gut to joke around even if that's what happened to you, huh?" She said in irritation, but still with a worried face.

I pouted, "Don't worry. What happened to me is not really serious."

"Not serious, huh? That's why Yeji cried so hard yesterday. She thought you were going to die when she saw you lying on the ground with blood all over your body and mouth." Chaeyeon said sarcastically.

"What?!" Redpink members and my team said in disbelief. I just scratched my head with an awkward smile. Yeji is really talkative, like her best friend.

"Can you dance right now, oppa?" Yeri asked.

I nodded, "Yeah. I was glad our outfit is like this so it won't see my bruises and wounds."

The backup dancers' outfits are long sleeves and baggy pants with fabric as a mask on our faces, which I haven't worn yet. So, only our hands and eyes will be visible to us later.

Joohyuna stepped closer to me and held my neck. "You have a fever. You should rest. Why did you come here?" She asked with a frown.

"Because I'm one of your backup dancers, and the formation will be incomplete if one of us is absent?" I answered and smiled sheepishly.

She flicked my forehead, "You're crazy. Your condition will get worse, don't you know that?" She said in annoyance.

"Don't worry. I'll take a rest after this. You don't have a performance tomorrow, right? So I have plenty of time to rest. You can even cook for me tomorrow if you want." I said and wiggled my eyebrows at her.

"Stop the flirt, Seulgi. Just go home now." She commanded.

I nodded, "Okay. After we dance."

Joohyuna was about to say something when the staff called them to get ready. She just sighed before they left us.

"You looked... You looked like a couple. Do you have a relationship with her, Seulgi?" Sunyoung noona asked me.

I looked at my team, and they all waited in anticipation. "Me and Joohyuna?" They nodded. "Yes. We do." They gasped in surprise at what I said. "We're friends," I added and ran away from them. I laughed when I heard their threat towards me.

I stopped running when there was a group of people that I was going to bump into. And my smile dropped when I recognized them. You're dead, Kang Seulgi.

"Oppa?! Why are you here?!" Yeji whispered-shouted to me with wide eyes.

I scratched my head, "As you can see, we also have a performance today."

"But the doctor said you need to rest!" She said with her eyebrows almost met.

I put my hands on her shoulder, "Relax, baby. I'll take a rest after this." I said in a low voice and removed my hands after.

"I'll come with you then. We already finished our performance and don't have a schedule after this. I already asked permission from my manager, and he agreed. Right, oppa?" Yeji said and looked at Mr. Jongsuk. He just nodded and smiled in response. Yeji looked at me again. "I'll wait for you here. I will not wait for the announcement of the winner today."

I shook my head with a smile. "Okay. Sure."

"I heard what happened to you, Seulgi oppa. Are you okay now?" Lia asked me.

I smiled at her. "I'm doing well now, Lia. Thanks for asking."

"Have the people who did this to you ever been caught?" Yuna asked.

"The police are still investigating and looking for those people." I answered.

"I hope they caught those people. It will be dangerous for you to go outside if they are still around." Chaeryeong said.

Ryujin nodded in agreement at what Chaeryeong said, "You need to be extra careful, Seulgi oppa. What happened to you is not a joke."

"I will. Thanks for the concern, ladies." I smiled at them.

"Seulgi, let's go!" Junho hyung called me.

"I have to go now, ladies. Bye!" I waved at them and ran towards the dancers.

Wendy's POV
When our performance ended, we went backstage and saw Seulgi catching his breath while he was sitting. He is with his team and... Yeji? She is standing in front of Seulgi.

"I told you to rest, didn't I? Why are you so stubborn, oppa?" Yeji looked like a mother scolding her son while her hands were on her waist. I smiled while watching them. They're cute.

"Is that Yeji?" Yeri whispered.

"Yeah," I answered.

"Is she not afraid that someone might take a picture of them and have a dating issue?" Yeri asked again.

"I think she's not, Yeri-ya," Joy answered.

"She's brave, huh?" Yeri commented.

I looked at Irene unnie, who was just silent beside me. She just looked at Seulgi with worry on her face. And... Oh my gosh... Am I hallucinating? Because she also looked jealous!

I also noticed earlier when we were performing that she seemed worried while glancing at Seulgi when they came to the stage.

I think our fans won't notice that because she's good at hiding it. But, of course, I detected it because she's been my friend since we were a trainee.

"Let's go, oppa. You're extremely hot right now." Yeji said after Seulgi's team left them.

"Because I'm hot, baby," Seulgi said as he stood up and grinned.

I heard Joy and Yeri gasp, "Baby?!" They whispered-shouted.

"Stop the joke, oppa." Yeji held Seulgi's waist to support him to walk.

"Yah, removed your hand. You might have a dating scandal."

"I don't care. You're more important than my career, oppa."

"Ahh," Seulgi said like he was touched by what his sister remarked. "That's so sweet of you, baby," Seulgi said as he put his arm on Yeji's shoulders.

"I'm so sweet that I will cook for you later," Yeji said and laughed softly.

"Oh, no, please. I still want to live."

"Ah, oppa~" Yeji whined, but Seulgi just laughed at her.

"Why are you standing there?" Sunmi unnie asked us after she and Dohwan oppa arrived.

"We just watched a live short love story, unnie." Joy and I laughed at what Yeri said.

"Anyway, Seulgi said to give these flowers to you after the host announces who will win today, but I will give it to you now because I might forget it later." Dohwan oppa said and handed the flowers to us.

"My poor bear. I saw him earlier with bruises and wounds on his face. I hope the police catch the people who did that to him." Sunmi unnie said.

"I hope so too," I said and sighed worriedly.
