Chapter 67

Seulgi's POV
It's my day off today, so tonight, I decided to watch movies after I went for a walk in the park near my unit.

I was in the middle of watching when someone rang my doorbell. I looked at my phone to know the time, and it was already 10:39 pm. Who will visit me this late at night?

I paused the movie and immediately went to my room to get a T-shirt and put it on before opening the door. And I was surprised when I saw the person behind it.

"Hyung? What are you doing here?" It was Hae In hyung who was holding a plastic bag.

He smiled a little. "Can I come in?"

I nodded, even though I was confused, and widely opened the door for him. "Why did you come here late at night?" I asked after closing the door and followed him to the living area.

He sat on the couch before taking out what was inside the plastic and putting it on the center table. It was beer cans.

"I'm sorry for what I did last night. I just poured out my stress on my dad and Jimin noona to you." He said while opening a beer can before he drank.

I sat across from him. "Why? What happened?" I asked with a frown.

He sighed, "Yesterday morning, Dad talked to me. He wants me to take over the company from him because he said he is getting old and wants to retire to enjoy his life. And about noona, we argued last night before I went to the restaurant. We were on a date near the restaurant of your auntie when Lisa called me as if something had happened to Jisoo. So, I told noona I had to leave, but she didn't want to because, at that time, we had just started our date. So, we argued. And even though I didn't want to leave her like that, I did it anyway because I was worried about Jisoo. But it turns out that it was just a dare." He opened another can after he finished the first one.

I leaned on the couch. "I guess what Jisoo did to me was also just a dare." I was really surprised by what Jisoo did to me yesterday.

"Yeah. They said that last night."

I nodded in understanding, "Are you and noona okay now?"

He drank and shook his head, "She's still mad at me, and I understand her."

"Of course, she would be. Who wouldn't be mad at what you did? You're lucky that she didn't break up with you. Or..." I looked at him suspiciously. "You did it on purpose, to get out of your relationship, but you felt unlucky because she didn't do that."

He looked at me in annoyance, "What the hell did you mean by that?"

I chuckled, "Just kidding." I cleared my throat before looking at him seriously. "Why don't you just break up with her? You're just hurting her, hyung."

He put the empty can on the center table and took another can. "Because I love her." He answered and opened the can.

"Who? Jimin noona or Jisoo?"

"Of course, Jimin noona." He said in irritation.

I scoffed, "Stop lying and stop using Jimin noona, hyung. I know you were jealous of me last night that's why you punched me. And you were worried, not as a manager, but because you love Jisoo. Therefore, you got furious when you saw her with another man. And I know Jimin noona wouldn't be that mad if you left her for Jennie, Rosé, or Lisa. But she was mad, not just because you dumped her on your date, but because of Jisoo. I feel that she also knows that you have feelings for Jisoo."

He drank and looked away, "I love Jimin noona. I'm not using her."

"No, you don't love her. You're just using her. I heard that uncle won't let you be a manager unless you have a girlfriend."

He shook his head. "I'm dating her because I love her and not because of that."

"Go on. Keep denying it, hyung. So one day, you will only know I'm already dating Jisoo." I smirked at him when he looked at me with a frown.

"Stop hitting on her. Blackvelvet still banned from dating."

I shrugged nonchalantly, "I can wait until she's allowed to date someone."

He raised his eyebrow, "And what about Miss Irene?"

"Oh, come on, hyung. She has a boyfriend. I'm already moving on from her." Of course, that's a lie.

He frowned, "So, you're just using Jisoo?"

I pretended to think. "Maybe?" I chuckled when he glared at me. "Maybe not, maybe yes. Don't worry. I admit I still have feelings for Joohyuna, but I also have a crush on Jisoo. And a crush can develop into love, right?"

"You're insane." He commented while shaking his head. He opened another can. "Don't you want to drink?" He asked and looked at me.

I shook my head. "No, I'm good. Jisoo will be mad at me if she finds out I drank tonight." I slyly smiled when I saw his jaw tighten. "Anyway, I'm sorry too for punching you last night. I was tired from practice last night, and Bogum's impulsive act greeted me when I arrived at the restaurant. I was so annoyed at that time that I couldn't stop myself when you suddenly started a fight. I don't understand what's wrong with the people around me. I just wanted to work, but that's what happened."

Auntie was worried when she saw my face last night when I went to the kitchen. She even asked what happened, but I just said that a drunk guy punched me and left after.

"What? Did that Bogum hurt you again?" He asked with a frown.

"He tried to, but thanks to my martial arts instructor, I dodged his attack."

Jisoo did what she told me she would tell Lisa about me wanting to learn martial arts. And just after that day, Lisa introduced me to Kun, who is now my martial arts instructor. Lisa even told me, at that time, that Kun was her boyfriend, telling me she could trust me.

"Oh, you do practice martial arts?" Hyung asked in surprise.

"Yeah. I have been training for almost three months now. So, I can defend myself if someone tries to hurt me like what happened last night." I do my training twice a week, and the same with Pilates.

"That explains why I couldn't hit you again when I tried to punch you last night." He commented and chuckled

"So, don't do that again, hyung. You're just lucky because they stopped me." I said jokingly.

"They or she?" He grinned teasingly. "You just stopped when Miss Irene stopped you." That's true. And he should thank her for that.

"Jisoo also stopped me, hyung." I made an excuse and looked at him mockingly.

He scoffed, "Whatever. By the way, why did that Bogum do that to you?"

I shrugged, "Who knows? Maybe he and Joohyuna fought, and he just poured it out on me like you did."

"He's insane." He commented and drank.

"Like you." He just chuckled at what I said and continued to drink.
