Seulgi's POV
"I need to go now. Maybe Jaekyoon oppa is looking for me now." Joohyuna said and turned around. But before she could walk away, I held her wrist to stop her. "Wait," I said and made her face me. "Give me a second." I removed the smudge on the side of her lips with my thumb. "There." I smiled at her and pulled away from her.
She returned the smile. "Thanks. Let me remove the smudge on you too." She brought her hand to my face and wiped my lips and the corner with her thumb and index finger. Why am I feeling something in my stomach? "Done." She removed her hand from me. "I really have to go now. Bye, Seulgi."
I waved my hand. "Bye, my woman. Take care." She just waved back and left me on the rooftop.
I was about to turn around to go to the railings when I saw the bottle of water that caused Joohyuna to be out of balance earlier because it still had three-fourths of water.
I took it and walked towards the trash bin. "Should I thank the owner of it?" I talked to myself and laughed before I dumped it. I touched my lips and smiled when I remembered our kiss earlier. Does Joohyuna act like that when she's curious? "Should I stop smoking now? What if she got curious again?" I asked myself while walking to the railings. "What are you talking about, Seulgi?! You're crazy." I shook my head and leaned against the railings. "Anyway, what is she talking about earlier? What did Chaeyeon say about calming down?" I gasped when I remembered something. "Did she hear what Chaeyeon said?" I shook my head as I realized I looked like an idiot, talking to myself. I looked at my phone to check the time when I remembered that I had practice today. "Oh, shit! I'm going to be late!" I exclaimed and ran towards the elevator.
"Oppaaa!" Chaeyeon shouted as she ran towards me after she saw me enter the practice room. She hugged me and pulled away with a smile on her face.
I chuckled, "I thought you would keep your distance from me?"
These past few days, she did what she said about keeping her distance from me even though the others didn't see us. And that's not a problem for me, so I don't talk to her too much if it isn't required, as a respect.
"Not anymore. Me and oppa are okay now. He apologized to me because he was jealous of something he shouldn't have been. He even told me that I don't have to keep a distance from you because he trusts me, but not to the point that it's not really good to see."
"Really?" I asked with a smile, and she nodded. "That's good then."
"Wait." I was about to leave and greet our team when Chaeyeon held my arm and scrutinized me. Do I still have a smudge on my face? "You looked happy."
I sighed in relief after she commented that. "Of course, I'm happy for you because you won't be sad anymore at our practices."
She shook her head. "No. I think there's another reason why you're happy today. That's a similar look every time we had a date back then or something like that." She raised her eyebrow. "Do you have a girlfriend now?"
I laughed, "I don't. But if you want to be my girlfriend again..." I trailed off and gave her a teasing smile. "I do, then." I wiggled my eyebrows at her.
She sighed but laughed after as she shook her head. "You're really a flirt, oppa."
I chuckled, "I'm not." I said and walked away from her to greet the others.
After our practice, I just went to the rooftop for my session. Then, I drove my motor to the basement parking of my condo and grabbed a cab to the grocery store to buy food and other necessities because I was out of stock in my condo. I don't have a race tonight, and I told Dad I'll just visit him tomorrow because it's my off tomorrow.
I queued at the counter to pay after putting the food and other items I had selected into the cart when the people in front of me started to leave with annoyed or bored expressions and went to the other counter. I looked in front of me and saw a beautiful lady searching inside her bag, looking troubled and slightly panicked.
I decided to walk towards the lady, pushing my cart, when I saw the woman behind the counter who seemed irritated while looking at the lady.
"Is there something wrong, ma'am?" I asked politely the lady who kept searching in her bag.
The lady glanced at me, "I'm sorry for the inconvenience. I just can't find my wallet in my bag. I'm sure it was in there before I entered here." She said while she was still busy with her bag.
I looked at her bag and noticed a cut in there. "I think someone stole your wallet, ma'am," I said and pointed to the slash on her bag.
"Oh my gosh. What am I going to do now?" She murmured and looked at the many grocery bags that seemed hers.
I looked at the price of what she bought, and I think it's double or triple the amount of what's mine. "Don't worry, ma'am. I'll take care of this." I went to the counter and looked at the cashier. "Please add my items too. It's on me." I said with a smile and started to place the grocery items that were in my cart.
"Oh, young man, you don't have to do that. I'll just call my daughter to go here." The lady said to me and tried to stop the cashier from scanning my items.
The cashier looked at me, waiting for my response, and I nodded to her as a sign to continue to scan. After that, I smiled at the lady beside me. "It's okay, ma'am. Just think of it as my gift to you."
The lady sighed in defeat. "Thank you for your kindness." She said sincerely. "I hope my daughter dates you if her relationship with her boyfriend doesn't work."
I smiled awkwardly and scratched my head. "I think it's better if she will have a man with a degree holder, ma'am."
That's what I always say whenever someone wants me for their daughters. And every time I said that some were disappointed and some were not.
She smiled, "It's okay for me. As long as you work your fingers to the bone and bring home the bacon."
I can't believe that she's giving her daughter to me even though we've only met today. I was glad when the cashier finished scanning my items and interrupted my conversation with the lady beside me because I didn't know what to say anymore.
I took out my wallet and paid the bill. After that, I helped the lady with her groceries to take them to her car.
"There," I said after I finished putting her grocery items in the trunk of her car.
"Put your groceries too. I'll take you home."
I shook my head and smiled at her. "It's okay, ma'am. Thank you."
"No, I insist. Just think of it as a payment for what you did." I was about to refuse again when the lady took my groceries and put them in the trunk. "Where do you live?" She asked me after she closed the trunk of her car. I told her where I live because I think I don't have any other choice. "Oh, that's good. I'm going to drive past that way."
"I'm relieved to hear that, ma'am," I said, and we got inside her car.
"I forgot to ask. What is your name?" The lady asked me after she stopped her car in front of my condo building.
I smiled at her, "I'm Kang Seulgi, ma'am."
She nodded as she smiled back. "Nice to meet you, Seulgi. I'm Tiffany Young."
