Wendy's POV
After our lunch earlier, I asked Sunmi unnie and Dohwan oppa if I could meet Seulgi after his work, and they both agreed.

Dohwan oppa drove me to Seulgi's place, and now, I'm outside Seulgi's condo, waiting for him to open the door after pressing the doorbell.

"I thought you were going to text me?" Seulgi said in confusion when he saw me after he opened the door.

"I changed my mind. It's safer here than in a public place, and to make sure I can talk to you today."

Seulgi chuckled and shook his head. "You really missed me that much, huh?"

I frowned, "No. I really wanted to punch you that much."

He laughed, "Is that how you show your love to me now?"

"Stop talking nonsense. Let me in." I said and pushed him to the side to enter his condo.

"Are we going to talk here?" He asked after he closed the door.

I walked towards his living area after I removed my shoes. "Yeah. And I'm glad you're not topless now." I said and sat down on the couch.

I saw him walk towards me. "I was earlier, but wore after I heard the doorbell rang." He said and sat in front of me.

I nodded at what he said, "Do you have liquor?"

He looked at me in confusion. "I have beer cans. Do you want to drink?"

"Yes, let's drink."

"We will drink while we talk?" He asked in muddled.

I nodded, "You don't do anything stupid when you're drunk, do you?"

He chuckled, "Of course I don't." He got up and left.

I looked at him after he returned, holding a tray full of beer cans. "What happened? Why did you leave the company?"

He put it down and sat again in front of me. "Nothing. I just want to." He answered and laughed.

His eyes look sad even he smiles or laughs. I already noticed it when we were at the restaurant earlier.

"Be honest, Seulgi. I know something is wrong."

He opened the can and give it to me before he opened another one for himself. He drank first before speaking. "I was hurt and wanted to take a break that time."

"Why? Did someone beat you again?" I asked in worried.

He drank again and shook his head. "No. I only like someone who doesn't like me." He chuckled without any hint of humor.

My eyes widened, and I gasped when I realized something. "Is that someone Irene unnie?!"

He sighed before he nodded and looked away. "I thought I had no feelings for her. I thought I only like her as a friend. I didn't know I already like her. And I didn't know it hurt to like her. If I had known that it would be so painful, I would have avoided her in the first place." He said with sorrow on his face.

I frowned, "What happened? How did you say that she doesn't like you?"

"I can't tell it. I promised her I wouldn't tell anyone."

I raised my eyebrow, "Is that because of her boyfriend? Park Bogum?"

He looked at me in surprise. "You... You already know?"

So Seulgi knew that unnie had a boyfriend before we did, huh? I nodded, "She admitted it earlier when we play a game in a restaurant because they didn't stop her, so she had no choice. And I also had no choice but to tell them that D.O. oppa is my boyfriend."

"I see." He commented as he nodded. "Good to hear that you already told them about hyung. It's hard to keep it forever." He said and chuckled.

"Don't change the topic. What happened between the two of you?"

He sighed heavily, "Before the day that she was going to host with her boyfriend for the second time, she asked me a favor to not talk to her nor approach her on the day she and her boyfriend would host because her boyfriend would be jealous of me."

"Irene unnie said that?" I asked in disbelief.

He nodded, "Yeah. But I understand her. So, I tried to do that. But I couldn't help myself to remove the smudge on her lips because I was afraid someone might see it and think something about her. But unfortunately, her boyfriend saw what I did."

"Smudge?" I asked in confusion, and my eyes widened when something came to my mind. "Don't tell me... The two kissed?!"

Seulgi emptied his beer can and exhaled. "Yeah. That time, I would just put the flower outside your dressing room because I didn't want them to fight because of me. But when I was about to leave, I heard her talking to someone, so I peeked inside the room out of curiosity to see who she was talking to. I managed to peek because the door was ajar and saw her boyfriend walk towards her and kiss her." He opened another beer can and drank it straight.

My lips parted at what I heard, "Does unnie know that you saw them?"

He shook his head, "I don't think so. They didn't see me that time because they were busy kissing." He said bitterly.

"What happened when Bogum oppa saw you removed the smudge on Irene unnie? Did he punch you?"

"No. He just walked past us. But she was mad at me because I didn't follow what we agreed on."

"Huh? Who? Irene unnie?" I asked in confusion because he kept using subject pronouns!

He nodded, "Why so confused? We are only talking about two people."

I rolled my eyes, "But you can mention a name. No one can hear us here."

"But I don't want to. Even mentioning their names hurts me because it leads me to remember that not-so-good moment. But I know you. You won't stop me until I tell you the truth."

I pouted, "I'm sorry. I didn't know that happened to you."

Seulgi smiled at me. "It's alright. I feel better talking about it with someone, anyway."

"By the way, won't you go back to your team? They were sad when they found out you left."

He shrugged, "I don't know. She told me to stay away from her and act like we're strangers."

"Unnie said that?!" I asked in surprise. I can't believe unnie can say that to her friend.

Seulgi nodded, "Yeah. But I can't do that if I stay with my team. So I decided to quit, to make her happy and not to give her trouble."

"What is your plan now? Are you going to work full-time at the restaurant earlier?"

"No. I'm planning to finish my study. I already told that to my mom, and she was happy when she heard that."

I smiled at what he said. "I'm happy for you too."

He smiled back, "Thank you. But I noticed you asked for a beer but didn't drink one yet."

I laughed, "I just thought you needed that to tell me the truth."

He shook his head while smiling, "As if I can not tell you the truth based on your persistence, but it also really helps." He said and laughed. But he stopped laughing when he seemed to remember something before he looked at me seriously. "Can I ask a favor?"

"Depends on whether I can do that or not. What is it?"

"Can you look after her for me and make sure she's safe?"

I frowned, "Why would I do that?"

"My cousin and his co-lawyer found out that the person behind the group who beat me is her boyfriend."

At first, I didn't understand what he said, but after I comprehended it, I looked at him in surprise. "You mean... Bogum oppa is the reason why you got beat up?!"
