Chapter 42

Seulgi's POV
"Can you give these flowers again to them, hyung? I can't wait for them because I still need to talk to our dance captain." I asked Dohwan hyung when I saw him near the restroom after we finished the performance.

He nodded and took the flowers. "Sure. No problem."

I smiled at him, "Thanks, hyung. I have to go now." I said, and we waved at each other before I walked away from him.

I decided to give flowers to them for the last time, even after what happened yesterday between me and Joohyuna.

When I arrived at the SG company and went to one of the rooms where I knew Heechul hyung was there, I knocked on the door before opening it. I peeked inside and saw him sitting on the couch. "Can I come in?" I politely asked when he looked at me.

He smiled and nodded, "Sure, you can."

I entered the room and closed the door before walking towards him. "I just wanted to say something, hyung," I said after I stopped across him.

"Have a seat first." He said and gestured to the couch in front of him. "What is it?" He asked after I sat down.

I sighed and cleared my throat. "Uhmm... I... I wanted to leave the Groovy dance crew, hyung."

He looked at me in surprise and confused at the same time. "Why? Did something happen? Do you have problems with your team?"

I shook my head, "It's not like that. I just wanted to quit, hyung."

"Then, tell me what is your reason."

"But it's... Personal."

"I won't tell it to anyone, promise." He raised his right hand. "And I think you owe me an explanation why you wanted to leave out of the blue, Rowoon. I also wanted to know not just as a dance captain but as your friend. So, please enlighten me."

"It's because..." I sighed and looked away. "There's an idol that I like now, but I need to stay away from her to avoid any trouble with her. You understand what I mean, right?" I answered half-truth.

I heard him sigh after a minute of silence. "I'm sad that one of my great dancers is leaving my team, but I understand. What is your next plan, then?"

I looked at him and shrugged, "I don't know, hyung. I only want to take a break for now."

"Okay. Just call me if you want to come back to our team. It's always open to you."

I smiled. "Thank you, hyung." I stood up and bowed to him. "I have to go now. Mom is waiting for me."

He nodded, "Hope to see you again."

I just smiled at what he said and bowed to him one last time. "Bye, hyung," I said before leaving the room.

Irene's POV
"Hey, girls. Seulgi gave this for you." Manager Dohwan said with flowers in his hand while walking towards us.

"Where is he? Is he not feeling well?" Wendy asked worriedly.

"He said he needed to talk to his dance captain."

I took the violet tulip when manager Dohwan gave it to me. I felt something burnt to my heart when I saw nothing written on the stem.

Seulgi didn't talk to me earlier, and he even didn't look at me. I can't blame him. I pushed him away from me.

I intended to talk to him after our performance today, but he left already. So, I will just talk to him when I see him at the company later.

I wanted to apologize for what I said and did to him. I couldn't sleep last night, not because we needed to prepare early but because I was thinking about him.

Bogum and I were already okay after I talked to him yesterday. At first, he was mad at me, but in the end, we became okay.

I was startled and looked beside me when someone nudged me. It was Wendy. "We're here."

I was surprised when I saw that I was inside the car. I looked outside and saw we were in front of the SG building. I didn't notice that the music show ended, and I got into the car earlier. I didn't even know who won today.

"Why are you still there? Let's go." Manager Sunmi said to me and Wendy because we were still sitting inside her car.

We nodded and got out of the car. "I noticed you're quiet today. Is there something that happened?" Wendy whispered to me while we were walking towards the elevator.

"I'm always quiet, Wendy," I replied.

"But you're not spacing out and gloomy, unlike now, unnie."

"I'm just sleepy right now." She shrugged nonchalantly at my answer.

We went to the cafeteria to eat a light meal. We don't have a schedule this afternoon, so we decided to have vocal and dance lessons after we eat.

We were in the middle of eating when we noticed a group of people entering the cafeteria. It's a Groovy dance crew, and they looked blue today.

"What happened to them?" Joy asked in confusion.

"I also don't know," Yeri answered with a shrug.

"I'm not talking to you." Joy rolled her eyes.

Yeri raised her eyebrow, "Who are you talking to then?"

"Yah. Can you shut up, you two?" Wendy said to them.

I just shook my head when the two made more noise. I looked at the Groovy dance crew again and searched for Seulgi, but I couldn't find him.

They bowed to us when they saw us, and we gestured the same in return to them. They sat beside our table with the food tray in their hands.

"I really can't believe that Seulgi unexpectedly quit today." Sooyoung unnie talked to her team.

"Did you two fight?" Wooyoung oppa asked Chaeyeon.

Chaeyeon shook her head. "We didn't, oppa."

"Then, what happened? Why did he leave us all of a sudden?" Sungkyu oppa said in confusion.

"Uhmm... Excuse me. May I know what you guys are talking about Seulgi?" Manager Sunmi couldn't stop herself from asking.

Hyoyeon unnie sighed heavily before answering. "Seulgi already left our team."

"What?!" We commented and looked at her in surprise.

"Why did he do that?" Manager Dohwan asked. "I didn't expect he would do that when I talked to him earlier."

"We didn't think so either. That's why we were surprised when Heechul hyung announced it earlier." Myungsoo said.

"Did he tell you why Seulgi oppa left your team?" Joy asked.

They shook their heads. "Heechul oppa said Seulgi doesn't want to tell it to anyone," Sunyoung said.

"Did he say anything to you earlier about this, Wendy unnie?" Yeri asked.

Wendy shook her head with a confused face. "He didn't. We didn't get a chance to talk earlier."

I bit my lips when I realized something. What I meant about staying away from me and acting like we're strangers is when Bogum is around, not like this, Seulgi.
