Irene's POV
We're done eating, except for Seulgi, when Grandpa Sok-yong opened the conversation about YM Entertainment.

And I'm a bit hesitant to listen to them because I'm not even part of their artist. But it looks like they're okay to talk about it, knowing that I'm with them.

"So, what's your plan now, Soo-jung? Your position as a COO has been waiting for you for a very long time. I'm also having a hard time handling two positions because you keep rejecting it." Auntie Mi-seon complained.

Auntie Soo-jung rolled her eyes. "Did I even tell you to do that, unnie? I already told you that I'm busy with my business now. And it's your choice, so it's not my fault anymore."

I glanced at Seulgi when I heard him chuckle while still eating. Maybe he's used to listening to such conversations.

Auntie Mi-seon sighed, "Then have one of your children handle it. I also want to resign!"

"How about your position as a managing director, noona? Are you going to step down from that position too?" Uncle Jung-min asked curiously.

"Yeah. Yoo-jin already agrees to take care of it. That was why our parents called us before, not just to tell about Hae In but also to talk about the position of the others." Auntie Mi-seon looked again at Auntie Soo-jung. "So, if you really don't want to manage your position, give it to Seulgi or Yeji then."

Seulgi raised his hand and swallowed his food first before speaking. "I don't want either. I'm busy at our restaurant. Jisoo and I are also thinking of opening a branch in this area. So I'll be even busier when we decide to do that."

Seulgi's grandparents' house is far from Seoul. It will take you two hours to get here.

"How about you, Yeji?" Uncle Jung-min asked.

Yeji immediately shook her head. "I can't do that right now even if I wanted to, uncle. My group is still new to the industry, so my members and I are busy promoting our group."

"That's why we have plan B." We all looked at Uncle Young-moon when he spoke.

"And that is?" Auntie Jin Kyung asked curiously.

I got nervous when Uncle Young-moon looked at me, which caused the others to look at me as well. "Joohyun will be the one who will take over the position of COO."

I blinked multiple times at what I heard. Did I hear it right?! "M-me? Why me?" I asked in flabbergast while pointing to myself.

Uncle Young-moon nodded with a smile. "Yes, you, Joohyun. We think this position suits you. You know how the entertainment industry works. You have a lot of experience as an idol that you can use in this position. So, we think you can help us manage the company."

"But I still have a contract, uncle. And I don't think it's right to give that huge position to me. Especially, I'm just Seulgi's girlfriend." I declined politely.

Seulgi looked at me after I mentioned his name. "Why? Are you still not sure that I will be your future husband?" He asked with a frown.

"Of course not. I just think it would be better if the person taking that position is one of your family." I answered softly.

"But you're one of our family now, Joohyun," Grandma stated, and I felt warmth in my heart from what she said.

"And just like we trust Young-moon, we also trust you in that position," Grandpa said.

"It also doesn't mean you will take that position right away. While you're still under contract, Soo-jung will take care of it temporarily, and Hodong will take care of their business. Is that okay with you two?" Auntie Mi-seon asked Seulgi's parents.
