Chapter 54

Irene's POV
"I'm sorry if it took me a while before I saw your signal earlier, girls. I was just busy because Ahra noona texted me about your schedules this week and what you need to do." Manager Dohwan said as we walked out of the building of the variety show we attended.

During the shooting of the show earlier, we tried to furtively signal to Manager Dohwan whenever we had the chance because there was no blanket to cover Joy's legs. She was only wearing a skirt, while Wendy and I were wearing pants. But Manager Dohwan only informed that to the staff when the recording was almost over. Manager Sunmi is not with him because she is with Yeri, who has a solo schedule today. So, Manager Dohwan was the only one who monitored us earlier.

"What happened to you, Manager Dohwan? You still manage to monitor us even if you're alone and busy doing other stuff back then. Is there a problem?" I asked.

He shook his head. "There isn't. It's just that Seulgi was not here today."

I frowned when I heard Seulgi's name. "What's with him?"

"Because every time Sunmi noona or I were alone, we called Seulgi for help whenever we found it difficult to monitor you all. And luckily, most of the time that we called him was his day off." We were surprised at what Manager Dohwan enunciated.

"He didn't tell me about that. I thought he was only watching us." Wendy commented.

"He is also the one who always asks the staff if there are fireworks at the events you attend or perform. And if there is, he will tell the staff to let you know so you are aware and be prepared, especially Joy and Irene noona." Manager Dohwan shared.

"That's sad that Seulgi oppa already left the company." Joy sighed sadly, "I miss him already."

Wendy went near me, "Do you miss him too, unnie?" She whispered and smirked at me.

I glared at her. "Shut up, Wendy," I whispered too, before hopping into the passenger seat when we arrived at Manager Dohwan's car.

I rolled my eyes when I heard Wendy laugh while going to the backseat. After a while, we arrived at the restaurant where we were going to meet Blackvelvet members and Yeri.

They were not still there when we entered the private room we reserved. So, we ordered our food while waiting for them after we asked what they wanted by texting them. And later on, the food arrived, and Yeri followed before Blackvelvet.

"Hello, guys! How are you?" Lisa greeted us with a smile while sitting down.

"We're good. We just attended a variety show earlier." Wendy answered.

"Let's eat," I said, and we started to eat.

"You're comeback song seems good. I saw the trailer earlier." Joy commented about the comeback of Blackvelvet.

Jennie nodded, "Yeah. I already liked it when I first heard the song. And I'm so excited to perform it next week."

"Me too," Jisoo said with a smile.

"Rosé unnie, I saw you hugged a guy in the trailer. Did Chanyeol oppa get jealous when he saw that?" Yeri asked.

Rosé laughed softly, "He didn't. He even suggested me to do that with Seulgi oppa because he trusts him."

I frowned when I heard Seulgi's name again. Why do I keep hearing his name today?

"That was Seulgi?! But the one you hug is different from Seulgi's haircut." Wendy said in surprise.

"Oh, you haven't seen Seulgi oppa with his new haircut yet? He cut his hair a month ago, right Jisoo unnie?" Lisa looked at Jisoo.

Jisoo nodded, "Yeah. And I was the one who cut his hair." She informed us happily.
