Seulgi's POV
"I'm sorry for the delay. I just finished my shift at Auntie's restaurant." I said after I sat across Hae In hyung's chair.

Hyung wanted to hang out with me yesterday, but I canceled it because of Wendy. So, I told him to move it today and meet me in one of our favorite cafés.

"It's okay. I'm not in a hurry. Anyway, I'm sorry again for not visiting you when you were beaten. I was busy that time because Blackvelvet had solo schedules after they went to Thailand."

I smiled in understanding, "It's alright, hyung."

"How have you been?"

"I'm doing well." But not emotionally. "My wounds and bruises are already gone."

He nodded, "I heard from In-youp that you didn't file a suit against that actor who was behind what happened to you. Why did you do that?"

"It's just because I don't want to see my name on the news," I answered and laughed.

He frowned, "You know they can keep your name out of the news if you want."

"And you know too that his fans will do anything to uncover my identity. They might include Yeji because of that, and I don't want that to happen." Actually, that was just one of my reasons.

He nodded, "You have a point there. What is your plan, then? He might do something to you again."

"I don't think that will happen again. But if that happens again, I already told In-youp hyung to drag him into court."

"You need to be careful, Seulgi." He said in concern. "Anyway, I also knew that actor was jealous of you." He smirked.

"Maybe he was frightened because I'm handsome," I said before wiggling my eyebrows.

He snorted, "You're just flirty with all women. In-youp didn't tell me who that actor's girlfriend was. So, who's that girl?"

I told In-youp hyung yesterday after they told me why that actor did that to me, that he can tell why that actor did that to me in our family, but he shouldn't mention the name of his girlfriend to secure her privacy.

"Secret. I don't want to involve her. She didn't even know that her boyfriend did that to me."

Hyung raised his eyebrow, "Do you like her?"

I looked at the coffee he had ordered for me before I arrived and took it to taste it. "It tastes good," I commented after I took a sip and looked at him.

He smirked, "You like her." He stated. "And I think I know who's that girl. It's Miss Irene, isn't it?"

I sighed, "Please don't tell anyone that it was her, especially our family. They might blame her because of what happened to me."

"You know they are not narrow-minded."

"But still, I don't want her to get involved, hyung."

He nodded understandingly, "Alright, I won't tell it to anyone." He drank his coffee before speaking again. "Auntie told me you left your team? Is it because of her?"

I shook my head, "Not just because of her or I don't want them to fight because of me, but also because I'm afraid he might do something to my family."

"You're right. We don't know how he thinks. Nevertheless, if you already left your team, join the dance crew under YM Entertainment then."

"I can't. I'm planning to study again next semester."

Hyung looked happy at what I said, "Really?" I nodded, but he gave me a suspicious look after a while. "Is it because Park Bogum is a degree holder that you want to have one, too? I have basic information about him. I searched about him after I found out that he was the one who did that to you to know if he has bad records. But he's lucky because he is good in the eyes of the public."

"Maybe he's really kind. Maybe he only loves his girlfriend so much, even to the point where he can hurt others." I said, trying to avoid his question. And I think I succeeded.

He scoffed, "If he is really kind, he will talk to you properly and not warn you like that."

"We have different ways on how to act on love. Like what you are doing right now." I said and chuckled.

He frowned, "What are you talking about?"

"Stop acting like you don't know what I'm talking about. You should be a CEO now, not a manager."

"I told you I'm not yet ready to be a CEO."

I snorted, "Excuses."

"I'm not. Anyway, you can join the dance crew at YM Entertainment. I told you before our grandparents will talk to the dance captain of the team you will join to let you finish your studies while you are part of the dance crew."

I thought for a moment and shrugged. "Okay. It's not bad to use your connection sometimes. And I also want to be a backup of my crush." I said and laughed.

He shook his head. "Can you stop flirting, Seulgi?"

I looked at him with a teasing smile. "What? Are you jealous?"

"No. I'm just worried about you because you might like someone who doesn't like you back." He said and smirked.

I chuckled, "Or maybe you're afraid Jisoo might like me if I try to win her heart."

He shook his head in disagreement, "You're not her type."

"You're not sure about that, hyung."

"You know what, don't ever join our company's dance crew if you're just going to flirt there." He said with a frown.

I laughed because he looked annoyed now. "Nope. I'll join tomorrow. And I'll tell it to our grandparents if you don't tell them."

He sighed and shook his head, "Is that what happens to you when the person you like doesn't like you back?"

I glared at him. "Yah. That's below the belt, hyung."

He chuckled, "Just keep enjoying being single, Seulgi. There are things you can't do if you have a girlfriend already, you know that."

"Like flirting with others?"

He looked at me in disbelief. "Really, Seulgi? I thought you were not flirting with anyone?"

I chuckled, "That's true. I'm just giving an example, hyung. Nonetheless, I'm not kidding that I will tell tomorrow to our grandparents that I will join the dance crew at YM Entertainment."

"Go on. It's perfect timing because Blackvelvet will be preparing for their comeback next month."

"Really? When is their comeback?" I asked excitedly.

"It's August. The same day of their anniversary. The company always gives a month gap after preparation to give a teaser before the comeback and also to give the artist some rest."

I nodded at what he said. "Yeah. The artists really deserve to rest for all their hard work. And I'm glad it's not too late for me to be their backup for their upcoming comeback." I said gaily.
