Irene's POV
"Who's that Jimin?" I asked after Seulgi ended the call. I uncrossed my arms before I looked at him.

I saw his Adam's Apple move up and down. "I told you, she's my classmate." He answered with a little shaky in his voice.

"And?"

"And..." He thinks for a while. "One of my friends?"

I raised my eyebrow. "You're not sure?"

He shook his head. "No, I'm sure."

"Then why are your other classmates teasing her to you?"

"It's because we're kinda in the same industry. Don't you know her? She's Yoo Jimin, known as Karina, from the AXE group. You're in the same company, right?"

That's why her voice is familiar. "Is that their only reason? Or you're also flirting with her?"

He glanced at me confusedly. "Also? I'm not flirting with anyone, my woman."

"Oh, you're calling me my woman now, while earlier you were just calling me Joohyuna." I scoffed and looked in front. "Feeling guilty?"

"I'm not. It just ruined my mood when I saw you with that Bogum earlier."

"And you became okay after Karina called you?"

"Of course not. And as I said earlier, I'm not flirting with anyone or even with her. Our classmates only teased us when they found out I used to be a dancer under SG Entertainment, saying what if we're meant to be or something like that. You know young people nowadays. They give meaning to even the smallest things."

"And you're happy because they tease you with a beautiful woman?"

"I'm not. I only find it funny when they do that to us."

I rolled my eyes. "Don't they know that you have a girlfriend now?"

"They don't. We were not still in a relationship when they asked me before. Do you want me to tell them that you're my girlfriend?"

I glanced at him, and his face looked brighter now than earlier. "Of course, I don't."

"Why? Are you ashamed that I'm your boyfriend?"

I looked at him, and he looked hurt and sad. "No, I'm not," I said softly. "It's because if our relationship goes public, others might bash you. It's okay if I'm the only one who will receive their hate because I'm used to it, but it's a different story if they include you. So, as long as we can hide our relationship from the public, I will do that to protect you like what your sister does. And I don't want to end our relationship just because of the others."

"I know. I understand why you don't want to tell others. I was only jesting you earlier." He glanced at me and smiled, but it didn't reach his eyes.

"But I know it was half meant."

He sighed, "I really don't care if I get bashed just to tell the world you're my girlfriend now, but I also want to protect you. I don't want you to get hurt just because of me. But remember that nothing can separate us, not even fate or even if you want to break up with me. You can call me selfish, but I won't let you leave me only to be with someone else. Let's live unhappily together then."

I smiled at what he said while looking at him. "Did you say that to your exes too?" I teased him.

"Are you serious? That's what you think about everything I said?" He asked in disbelief.

I laughed, "Just kidding." I said and kissed his cheek. "I missed you. I'm sorry for ignoring your messages and calls."

He smiled widely and glanced at me. "Forgiven."
