CHAPTER 38: UNO GAME
Roxiette Avegayle's POV
I still stayed in that position. I'm on top of her and she's on my bottom.
We've been like this for a while now because she took so long to answer me.
She still hasn't spoken since I asked her.
Is it really difficult to answer that question?
"If you didn't answer me after I count one to twenty, I will kiss yo-"
"O-Oo na! Pumapayag na ako!" She interrupted what I was going to say.
The surroundings were quiet for a moment.
"Oh, bakit ikaw na ang nanahimik diyan?" she asked.
I-I... didn't expect that answer-
. . .
In the midst of our meal. I can't help but to smile secretly. I find myself thinking back on what has happened earlier.
I don't know what's wrong with her, because when she looks at me ay kita ko ang pagkailang niya. I'm just smiling at her every time she casts a glance at me.
She's unexpectedly looking at me, and that makes me happiest. She's really just as good to look at-
Her enchanting and gentle face, her naturally eyebrows, and her pointed nose. Her lips are so red that she doesn't need to wear any additional shades of lipstick.
Absolute perfection.
What a Goddess.
"Dito rin ba kayo mag ce-celebrate ng bagong taon mga hijo at hija?" Tanong ng mother ni Xyri sa tatlo niyang kaibigan.
"Opo, tita. Hehe!" Ali replied. And the two nodded.
I don't know but suddenly, I looked at one of her friends.
What is his name again?
Ahh, Lucas Mendoza.
I don't know but every time I see him, I get annoyed, especially when he is with Xyri. I just feel something negative about him, I don't like him, his presence.
Is it jealousy? Or am I simply irritated by his presence?
After we ate, we went to their living room.
I just gladly accepted Genesis' request to play with her Barbie's because the majority of us had absolutely nothing to do. Fun ensues. Playing with children's toys which I didn't do much when I was a kid, in some manner soothes the inner child in me.
Xyri and her friends involve themselves in something that I completely don't understand. They dwell within their own world. They are giggling as they talk about something that only they know about.
However, that didn't last long because they eventually had their own world. Xyri is currently immersed in a book, which could very well be her hobby given that she rarely checks her phone while having fun and usually holds a book in the palm of her hand. Without a shadow of a doubt, it can be impossible to get in touch with this woman at times.
She's so serious reading a book, I bet, she can no longer speak clearly when she is reading a book.
"Guys, tara laro tayo ng Uno!"
