Chapter 27

It's been weeks since keeping an eye out for liyue as so far the only thing that likes to have troubles are fatuis as always and you have your time hunting them at night.

To your surprise you never saw any harbingers nor the twins as the only thing you always find is their subordinates.

While walking through liyue harbour, you haven't seen any fatui scheme because it is still daylight but still you need to be cautious around as you won't know when they'll take their next move.

You decided to go to the shore to pay the Crux a visit as you went there. When you got there you could see the crew were busy as always as you couldn't see the captain but saw the kid named Kazuha.

You approached him as he noticed your presence and turned to look as he then gave you a smile.

"Hello F/n, what brings you here?"

"Just paying a visit though I think I came on the wrong tim-"

Before you could even finish you were met with a crushing hug as someone was hugging you from behind as you looked and saw none other than the captain, beidou.

"F/N!!!"

she said your fake name and smiled as you just held her arm.

"Good to see you too, beidou now can you ple-"

She suddenly pulled you up which is embarrassing for you since you're taller than her but of course you know her strength is something.

"You didn't visit for 3 days I was so lonely"

"It's only three days.. now stop carrying me this is embarrassing.."

"Why? does your pride let you down when being carried by someone who's shorter than you?"

"...I am well known about your strength but stop carrying me like I'm some kind of a lift weight"

"But you're light as a feather though"

"....is that a compliment because I'm quite offended.."

Kazuha just chuckled awkwardly because his captain always acted like when you're around.

After you agreed to hang out, beidou invited you sometimes when they go on a trip with her ship or even went hunting with some sea monster.

That's why you know why she was called the uncrowned lord of the ocean because at a mortals body, she's strong that she can even much an adepti.

She finally let's you go as you sigh in relief while you fix yourself as beidou then asked you to come with her as you went to her ship.

The crux greeted you as you greeted them back while you went to the back on the ship and you both talked there.

It's nothing usual as you only talk about sea monster or work that was given by the tianquan.

"So f/n, how's your life at the jade chamber?"

"As usual, I take care half of the tianquan's work when she fell asleep because it's already late"

"Still workaholic huh?"

"She is the tianquan after all but honestly she should take a rest for a while. it's not like the qixing will fall when she took a day off for once or two"

"But you can't convince her do you?"

"Of course not, it's work"

"Stubborn huh"

"Just like you yeah, you're both stubborn"

"Wha-.."

Beidou was speechless as she just furrowed her brows at you while you just looked at her.

You both looked at each other for a while before both you chuckled as you then looked at the sun which is already setting.

"Hmm~ I should returned now"

"Don't want the tianquan to be worried?"

"She is quite strict with me"

"Pfft what are you a child?"

"She treats me like one"

I said and started walking away as you bid farewell.

"I'll visit again sometime, farewell. Captain"

"I told you beidou is fine"

"Apologies still not used to it"

You said and left as beidou just chuckled and look at the sunset.

It is now midnight as people in liyue harbour was already asleep well except for some of them.

Tons of fatui started running from roof to roof as electro rush towards them as you then appeared while you swing your weapon making them sent flying to the side and fell on the ground unconscious.

You can still see one of them running as you use your electro to catch up with them.

The fatui went to the shore as you chase after him while you notice he was going straight to the water which made you confused while he suddenly jump as you then did as well while you appeared behind him ready to swing your sword when suddenly he use something as it created a portal as you were caught by surprised and was suddenly teleported deep on the ocean.

You look around clearly as you got teleported deep in the ocean as you groan a bit.

You were about to swim upwards when you felt something was rushing towards you as it was a sea monster which it's mouth was open ready to eat you as it did.

It swallowed you up as it was about to go but then it started crying in agony as it's stomach form a light and slowly melt as you use your pyro and burned it's inside.

The sea monster died as it started floating upwards while you were about to go when you heard someone's voice.

"Hmm~ a powerful being swimming deep in the ocean?"

you got surprised as you look around but saw no one.

"I wonder if I will have a chance to fight you when the time comes that I will be out in my prison"

You then look to the side which is dark as you then saw eyes that is glowing.

"Osial...remember my name strong one"

He said as you were caught by surprise again when another monster attacks you taking you away from that thing.

Somewhere in the ocean another monster was floating dead while you were on the top of it as you look at the ocean and remembered that thing who talked to you.

"...I guess it's only a matter of time before disaster comes in liyue harbour.."
