Minho's POV

Taerim basically threw herself into the water and it couldn't bring me more joy. I really wanted to settle our situation a bit and bring the mood up again. It seemed to work mostly for her, but I honestly felt more relaxed by now too. I placed two towels onto the sand, placing our bags down afterwards. I somehow first took them here instead of leaving them at the house already. I just thought the earlier here, the better. Also, I trust the people here. They mostly don't have the intention to bother or steal. I also took off my pants and pullover, sitting down for a moment. "Hello," an older couple greeted me a few metres away. "Ah, hello", "is she your girlfriend?" The woman pointed out. "Yeah," I let out a small chuckle. "I see. You two seem to be new here", "Well, she hasn't been here yet and I haven't been for a while either," I answered. "It's surprising you know this spot", "I used to come here a lot when I was younger," I smiled. She faced Taerim, before whispering over to me. "Bring her here at night time again. It's mostly a secret, but today we'll have a small beach party. Grilling marshmallows, playing music and we like to sing a lot. She might have fun." The woman was around fifty, but honestly seemed to not mind younger company. Taerim might prefer the comfortable way of spending time with people, so I thought why not. "Sure, I see if we find time," I responded, giving her a nod. I looked out for her, seeing she was still in the same position.

I couldn't obviously spend a whole day without teasing her. I spotted some children on my other side building a sand castle. "Hey, guys," I whisper yelled over. "Can you do me a favour?"

Taerim's POV

I could almost fall asleep by now. I really could've, until a whole wave of water was being splashed over me. I immediately got back onto my feet, rubbing my eyes as some children basically attacked me. They laughed while their hands only paddled into the ocean. "Hey hey, what did I do to you?" I questioned and returned their action. I chased after them, so they began running and screaming. I was laughing, like a lot. I felt like my inner child came back while playing with them.

They made me end up at the very front, causing a wave to basically drown me. I just came up at them making fun of me. "Hey, watch out," I pointed out as even they got hit. "Haha, now that's karma." I took a quick glance towards Minho, who just chilled there watching me. Laughing, hah? He better move his ass here also getting drown. "Hey, Minho!" I called out. "Come here", "Keep splashing," he shouted back to the kids. I let out a scoff. So that's why they did it?

I faced them before quickly running out of the water. "Hey hey, let's be a team, okay?" I questions, holding my hands in front of me. "We already picked a side," a boy commented. "Come on, please. Help me get revenge."

We ran towards him, holding water into our hands. "Hey, I thought you were on my side," he complained as they splashed it onto him. They just ran away as I threw myself onto him, in the wet state I was. "Taerimmm," he whined, so I rubbed my hands dry on his shirt. "Idiot, you made them attack me," I laughed. "Definitely not", "sure sure." He pulled me off him, making me sit down still.

"Okay, okay, enough." He returned the chuckle, handing me a towel, which I took to dry my hair and face a bit. Minho took a look around him before removing his shirt. "You gonna come into the water, too?" I questioned. "Yeah, later." I checked him out before lifting my head towards the sun. "You applied sun screen?" I asked. "That's what I have you for." He grabbed his bag, taking some out. "You didn't either, right?" I denied. Minho squeezed the bottle before rubbing his hands together, spreading it onto his face. "Here." He made me open my hand. "Also apply some onto your face."

"Can you do by back?" He requested. "Sure." I sat down behind him. "Honestly, thanks for taking me here," I spoke up. "Sure, you seem like it. Has been a long time for you?" He asked. "Well...actually I've only been to the beach once. I think I was around ten years old," I responded, moving my hands along his shoulders. "Really?  Well that explains a lot." I nodded even though he was unable to see it. "I love the beach though. I always watch a lot of summer dramas. They give me happy vibes and watching the people having fun, lifted my mood as well. Now that I'm able to be here, is even better. I feel like I automatically need to be happy." I huffed a bit. "Sounds stupid probably", "No, not really. Why did you never ask your parents to come here then? If I can ask", "since when do you mind asking something," I joked, giving his arm a pat, signalling I was finished. "The other side," he commented. I switched sides, sitting down in front of him, doing his arms. "No, but about the question. I did ask them..but in the summer holidays they were busy and it's a long drive. My brother doesn't wanna come along, and my dad cannot swim. Last time, my mother and I went together since I begged so much," I explained. "I can't swim either," he commented, so I faced him. "Wait, really?" He just gave an unbothered nod. "Wow, you're just admitting you're bad at something." He grinned a bit to himself. "I don't need to fake anything towards you." This felt good to hear somehow.
