"You called?" I cleared my throat. "Yeah, I did," Mi-ra said. "I was wondering if I could treat you on maybe dinner. Only as a friend, of course, be-" I straight up cut her off. "I helped you, you promised to pay me back and you did. No need to keep it on going. Also, we aren't even friends.. We're strangers with a back story, that's all." Right, it hurts being rejected this coldy. She knows where her place in my life is and keeps on thinking she'd have new chances. "I'm gonna delete your number now if you don't have anything further to say." I was about to hang up before she quickly spoke again. "The photoshoot", "what?" I sighed. "Of Taerim.. those pictures which got uploaded. Was this your idea..your mothers?" I shook my head. "It's none of your business. Keep yourself out of this topic, please." I heard her sigh. "As you wish." With that, she was gone.

I went through my hair, scanning any further messages.

Mother
Come home friday and we'll talk a few things for your future out. I'll drive you to the airport the next morning.

She'll drive me to the airport? I wanted to go with Taerim, though...

Next day

The night was alright, I slept pretty long. In any way you can call seven hours long. It felt like I was new born. I lazily stood up, searching for my hoodie which these days is my favourite thing to wear after waking up. It just feels cozy, like a blanket is wrapped around you again. Right, I gave it to her.

"Hi," she greeted, accepting my video call. "Where's it?", "You scared her away due to my ring tone." I frowned "oh", "so you didn't call to see me?" She walked, but quickly threw a gaze on me. "What do you wanna hear?" I asked. "Would a girlfriend be rather preferred from her boyfriend than a cat? Wonder." I chuckled. "You're preferred." She smiled. "You're wearing mine," I spotted my hoodie. "Yeah, like I said, it's comfy. Also it's a bit cold," she explained. "Do you feel better though? You said today could hurt." I leaned my phone against the kitchen wall showing me, while taking out some food for breakfast. "Yeah..I can't lie, can't just stand, so it's somehow less painful when I walk. I was-" She stopped talking, bowing down. "Aww, it's back." Her eyes lit up. "You're so cute." Her high-pitched voice threw me off guard. "Yes you are..aw you wanna cuddle?" She spoke to it. "Wow, never knew I'd be jealous of a cat," I mumbled. "Do you wanna be babied or what?" She questioned. "Sometimes." She scoffed. "Oh, wait." The view got directed onto the sky. I waited for about ten seconds, just for her to pick the phone back up showing herself with the cat on her arm. "Look at that," she sqeaked. "You're such a good cat." Taerim kissed her head. "I think it's a stray..it's dirty and looks so starved." A pout travelled upon her lips. I had already taken a screenshot of the sight in front of me. She was cute.. really.
"Buy her food." Taerim smiled widely. "Should I?"

Taerims POV

"Should I leave her here, or take her with me on the arm? Maybe she'll bother someone, but if I let her down, she perhaps runs away." I frowned. "Usually, you can't take animals with you into grocery stores. Just let her down, I bet she'll come back once you're back out." I hesitately placed her back down again, but she started meowing instantly. "Ah, I can't," I whined, patting her. "Come on. Cuddle her or give her food?" I pressed my lips together, entering the store. "Alright."

"It's empty, we can stay on call," I told him. "Hey baby, cover your neck a bit," he quietly spoke. "Oh." I fixed it, clearing my throat. "Wanna show me off, but still I should cover." I raised my eyebrows. "I mean, it's up to you if you wanna show it off", "nah, I pass," I winked, reaching the right department.

"You think you'll find the cat again?" I shrugged but immediately went to call out. I found it at the very side, hiding behind some bushes. "Baby, come here, I brought you food." I leaned the phone against a stone wall, making the angle able to film me. "It's a she," I told him, noticing. She approached me, so I took out the several snacks I bought for her. "First this one." I held it up, and just within a second she inhaled fastly. "Slow down, I'm not that fast." I caressed her. "Are you sure she doesn't belong to anyone?" I heard him ask. "I doubt. She's super skinny, even if she did belong to someone..they must've set her out. Also her fur is dirty and she has ticks." I stopped for a short moment. "I really wanna adopt her though...but it's expensive and she'd have to visit a doctor first which also costs a lot," I sighed. "I don't wanna leave her on the street. She might not get enough food aswell," I murmured. "It looks like a kitten," I faced him, who was sitting at his table, eating. "Probably not that old," I answered. "If you really don't wanna leave her out alone, I could take her with me." My eyes widened at his casual suggestion. "Huh?", "The problem is just that she'd have to be alone quite often, I don't know how well behaved she is either." I cupped her face. "You're well baheved, right?" The cat licked my hands in return. "She is," I fastly nodded. "I really want to, but...you think she'd go on the plane? How bout a box were we'd put her in", "I'll get one," I immediately said. "And about the flight. Cats do can go on long ones..even under your seat," he slowly nodded, before drinking something. "I'll think about it."

"And then what about now? How do I keep her with me?" I questioned concerned. "Guide her to your house and give her food daily. She'll come again if she memorises you. Maybe you could also place a blanket for her to sleep on in your backyard," he suggested. I agreed, nodding.
"I'm gonna hang up now though. Thank you so much for the offer, you're the best." I kissed my front camera, seeing him smile. "Mh, sure thing. Love you", "you too" I ended the call. "Come on, let's go home."
