Lee Hye-won. The person I thank my chances for. She was mad pretty and her 100k followers agreed without a doubt. And you want to tell me that she casually suggested me to join a night out? I screamed into my pillow. Not even the girls in my class would ask me to eat lunch with them. That's what Karma's about.
Why would she ask me though? She probably knew I was replacing her, and now that the video add has been posted, she probably fully recognised me.

"Why would I come along? It's literally your thing. She invited you not me, girl," Akari said through the phone. "Ugh..I don't even have anything to wear," I complained. "Wait up, though. Who else is coming along? And where are you even going?", "A few of her friends, I assume. She said they are out to drink and chat. Maybe she just wants to get to know me." Akari remained silent for a moment. "Drink and chat. You know what this means, right? How old was she again?" I sighed. "Twenty. And also I know what it means. I'm not stupid," I defended myself. "Can I just remind you of the last time you drank something?" I groaned. "No, you can not. I'm not gonna get wasted around almost strangers, trust me." I nodded surely to myself. "Fine. Just don't do anything stupid and text me if-" I interrupted her. "Fine, mom."

The queue in front was long, and I honestly didn't even know if I would spot her anywhere around. But she's an eye catcher, definitely. She had this cool style of clothes, and even her smoky eyes gave her almost baddass vibes, but truly, she was genuinely pretty. I can tell she could pull off the natural look, too. She kind of reminded me of Mi-ho; someone who you could stand behind and feel like they'd rescue you if anything happens.
"Hii," she waved with a smile as soon as our eyes met. I happily approached her. "I'm Taerim, so nice to meet you." I gave her my hand. "Hye-won. Woah, you really have something interesting in your features..I can tell why people like you." I genuinely felt relief at the warm welcome from her. "You look gorgeous, really," I returned a compliment. "I was tryna go for something cool, you know? At those places I hate when men approach me like I'm a defenceless innocent girl." And this made me like her immediately. "Relatable," I said. "Come on, let's get inside first. Don't worry, I rented a room." She was a VIP. She got in without having to wait. That was a total flex.

She guided me along, until we reached a room. A desk stood in the middle with comfortable sitting lounge around it. It had its own music while the rest noise got cut off as soon as the doors closed. Lights were dimmed, but still colourful. Three girls sat inside already.
I've never been at such place. A club was something I hated from just hearing about it... The things that happen here are always awful. But this had a less crowded mood. "We just come along here to chat and drink eventually. Like I told you. Those are my friends for quite long..we all met through business purposes. They're not that known yet though," she whispered the last part. "Hey, don't tryna use your image here," one complained, causing me to quietly huff. Well, I'm not either," I said. "I can tell you're on your way though", "Well however, come along and sit down," Hye-won suggested, so I followed her.

"My uncle owns this place and I have unlimited access..If I don't order too much of course. That's why we always tend to meet here. It's a bit further away from all the things which go on outside and pretty much chill in here," she explained to which I nodded. "Do you want anything to drink? Or wait, you're not a minor, right?" I quietly chuckled. "How else would I have gotten into here? I'm not." She held her heart and deeply breathed out. "Glad. I thought I might get punished for bringing you into here." One of her friends held up a drinks menu. "Choose whatever." My eyes scanned the list. "Uhh, I'll have a..Margarita", "Uh she's going all in." A short haired one joked. "Are you sure? It might be a bit strong." I met eyes with Hye-won. "Ah, you know then I'll just take one too. Let's set the mood up."

"Woah, so you're saying that you are the girlfriend of the one who is going to take over purity, which I was supposed to do the original photoshoot for?" My brain had to process first, but I just nodded. "Wow so you basically got like free access. I guess the luck automatically came to you." I snorted to myself. "I dunno." I stopped talking for a second before speaking up again. "Can I ask you something though?" She gave me a smile. "Sure", "Why exactly did you invite me? Not like I'm not happy about it, but I mean.." Another girl responded instead. "She's bored of us." Hye-won hit her arm. "Stop it. I'm not. I don't know what I would do without you guys." After that, she turned towards me again. "It's just..I saw your Instagram after the post. I was curious because I never saw you before. I wanted to know how you managed it and maybe also meet someone new. I thought maybe our group could use someone ne-" Her friend interrupted her. "Hah! I knew we were boring." Hye-won started laughing. "Shut up Yumi. You know you're irreplaceable."
