It was without a doubt.. his mother. His eyes began to slightly flicker as if he came back to reality. I pressed my lips together, holding onto his shirt, unnoticeable for her to see since we stood close enough beside each other. My gaze fell onto his fist. "You alright?" I scanned his face. His hand placed itself infront of me, before taking steps forward. "Wait here for a moment." He held me back in a way of keeping me almost save...as if I was too fragile.

I awkwardly fixed my skirt and tucked my hair behind my ear. What was she doing here? I never saw her before and I felt like she didn't even want to be seen at all, neither he seemed too happy about it. I watched him talking with her. He had this unpaitient posture, almost in a rush, meanwhile she only remained in a calm state. After a minute, he waved me over, so I slowly started to approach. Something was off and my unpleasant face expression was definitely noticeable.

I stopped right infront of her as she looked me noticeable up and down. "Hello, Mrs. Lee," I greeted politely. "So you know who I am?" I slightly nodded. "I assumed." I saw Minho sighing. "So you're the one my son has been spending his time on so much." I faced her before gazing at him, who seemed more than uncomfortable. Nearly as if he was begging his mother to stop. "In which position is your family?" She got straight to the point with no further greetings. My hands started to sweat just by the thought of having to answer. "Mom please, we just wanna study," Minho slightly whined. "What? I'm trying to take my time to get to know you. Who knows what you two have been doing all this time." My mouth was dry. I felt like she wanted to remind me where I belong to. I was uneasy and definitely ready to just turn back around. Her speaking tone was passive aggressive and made me sort of mad having to hear her talk.

"I'm sorry to interrupt, but I don't think my family's social status will be important when I'm just getting tutoring classes by Minho." I tried to stay as calm as possible.

"People are starting to look, can we please just go already," Minho mumbled, but his mom remained staring at me. "I just want to let you know that you better stay away from him if you plan to turn this into more." I thought my heart would drop down within a beat. What?
Before I could respond, his patience came to an end.
"You're unbelievable," he mumbled, jaw tensing.
He grabbed my wrist, pulling me with him. "What are you thinking? Get back!" He didn't listen. He just continued on dragging me along before I stopped him. We already reached the path next to the road, and I didn't even know how long he would've continued to just run away from the problem.
"Go back," I spoke up, looking down. "Huh?", "I said just go back already. I don't want you to get in trouble. You're making it worse by that." He scoffed. "Didn't you see what she was doing? I'm so done with her stupid expectations in me. She can destroy everything and make me take over whatever of hers, but she's going too far. She's making you stand there bad and it's emberassing me by the fact that I'm related to her. I'm so fucking sick of it." Every word of his was honest. I didn't even sense one hint of acting behind it. I switched in between his eyes, which were glaring at me, almost catching flames.

But it's true, it's not going to work out for us. Even if I wanted it to at some point, maybe even as friends. "I know and that's why you should leave me here.. and leave me here for ever. I told you often enough, it's stupid. Don't drag me down with you. I'm not willing to be part of it, neither being discriminated by her. I just know me going to your house won't work out and us either. She's going to be mad at me for keeping to see you. I'll give you the answer you wanted, I can't hold myself back either. I feel something for you and I can't deny it, but since she just proved that that's not going to work just like I thought, I guess only option one will be left." He stared at me, for almost one minute. He looked like he was going through several emotions at once. Disbelief, sadness, anger and acceptance. I didn't know how he felt about my words, or if he even felt something, beside his expressions. It didn't matter now anyways, his feelings will never have to matter to me anymore. His grip around my wrist loosened slightly. He hesitated, long enough to notice that I won't change my mind. His finger tips felt cold against my skin, almost like he wanted to let me know it left him cold. When it fact, it did not. He fully removed his hand, giving me one last second of eye contact and eventually returning.
Silence can say so much more than words do.
