When standing out of bed, I rummaged in his closet until I found a comfy pullover.
Minho still slept deeply, so I decided to open a window. Chilly air immediately filled the room, making me able to fully breathe in and out again.
I stretched myself and headed towards the kitchen with sleepy eyes.
I opened shelf after shelf, searching for glasses.
Once I finally found some, I poured myself in some water.
It was a routine of mine; drinking water right after waking up. It felt nice running down throat and was definitely something I simply needed.
It was told it'll help me lose weight as well and keep the body and skin healthy.
I brought the glass up to my mouth, but my hands started to feel powerless for a slight moment. Almost like they lost sign of strength, causing the class to drop.
A gasp escaped me while my hand rushed up to cover my mouth. My eyes scanned the shattered glass and the water spilled all over before turning to Minho sitting up.
"What happened? Are you hurt?" He tiredly questioned. I bowed down, attempting to collect the broken pieces. "No, don't touch it with bare hands." It was too late since I already cut myself with a sharp edge.
I frowned, my lips pouted as I pulled my hand back.
"Love," he rushed down beside me. "I'm sorry, it's my fault." His hand gently held mine up, his eyes scanning the not to deep wound.
"Don't worry, it's all easily cleaned up." His hand caressed my back, pulling me up to stand right after.
"Sit onto the bed. We gotta treat your hand." I hesitately followed his orders."Why would you even touch it," he sighed. "You can't get hurt." I watched him closely as he took well care of my hand. "It's not like I'm gonna die," I mumbled. "Of course you're not going to. Still..I'm worried." He wrapped a bandage around it, making me literally stare at him in awe. Before he could do any more, I pulled back. "It's okay like that..let me clean the mess though," I insisted. He held onto my arm, dragging me to stay seated. "No, stay, I'll do it instead."
My eyes followed his movements.
He took a shovel and hand broom before getting rid of the glass. Afterwards, he took a mop and wiped the door dry.
"Sorry, I woke you up and now you even had to clean it," I apologised. "Come on, I was not tired anymore anyway." I tilted my head. "Sure, that's why I can see your eyes falling close any second." He let himself down beside me, meanwhile I still sat upwards. "It's alright, I told you." His eyes analysed my face before speaking again, "what is it now, hm?" I shook my head, laying down onto him.
I rested my head on Minhos chest, listening to his calm heartbeat.
"You seem to be still tired. So let's sleep," I offered. "You don't seem to be though, hence why you stood up?" I shortly lifted my head to meet eyes. "I was just thirsty and wanted to open a window," I explained myself. "And as well change into clothes of mine?" I looked down on me before nodding. "Indeed."_
"No, you shouldn't be cutting." Minho took the knife out of my hands. "Huh, for real? Come on, I can still use my hand perfectly," I insisted, attempting to take it back. "Taerim, after all, I still seem to know better what's best for you," I sarcastically scoffed at this. "You do? I could hold a whole paragraph proving you wrong now, but I pass, thanks."
"You know I mean it good with you, right?" I rolled my eyes. "I know, I know..then let me do it myself, alright?" He shook his head.
"Lee Minho," I spoke seriously.
"Kim Taerim," he copied.
"Give, me, the, knife," I demanded, holding my hand open.
"For.get.It," he cheeky responded. "You annoy me right now. Seriously." He held onto his heart. "Oh my, if that's the case..I'll let you cut," Minho gave in, taking me off guard.
Instead of giving it back to me though, he positioned himself right behind me. Both of his arms appeared on each side of me. He offered me the knife, so I took it. Right after he placed his hands on mine, guiding me along.
"What's that?" I turned my head to face him only to realise how close we actually were. I felt his body warmth against my back and even his breath hitting my skin. I swallowed, letting his hands simply do the job.
"See, it's all good, right?" He pecked my cheek.
I weakly smiled to myself but fastly cleared my throat right after.
"However..at this point, you can do it completely alone."
I slid my hands away.
"Nervous?" I huffed to myself, "dream on."
I tried to escape out of his basical embrace, but he was fast enough to wrap his arms around me. "Baby, you going already?" He buried his face in the crook of my neck. My stomach exploded with the amount of butterflies he gave me.
"Hm?" Minho pecked my cheek once again.
"I'm not being helpful in any way..you just cook alone," I insisted. "Alright, alright..you can..heat up the pan."
I sceptical scanned his face, but he just gave me an innocent smile.
"Sure, darling. I'm gonna heat up the pan," I spoke rather sharply.
