We haven't seen each other this week. Well, when I say this week, I mean Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. But it's fine. He had to make sure not to mess up the final test today, and I was quite busy as well. I've considered calling him a few times. Every now and then I even started to write a message but ended up not sending it. Why? I don't know. Maybe because I felt like I was bothering enough already in that family, so due to that, I kept waiting for him to say something. I know that's not how a relationship works, but he always came first to me...I see, that's really not how it should go.

Before making my way to school, I pressed on his contact.

Minhos POV

"You won't mess up?" I shook my head, denying. I made my way towards the door. "Sure I should not drive you?" I sighed. "I'm su-" A phone ringing interrupted me. I recognised my alarm immediately. My hands rummaged in my pockets until I found out my mother held it up since it laid on the kitchen island. I must've forgotten it. "Taerim." She quietly read out loud even though that's not how her name is saved as in my contacts. My eyes widened, quickly snatching it away. "What do you think? That I will accept the call myself?" I didn't respond. "Minho," she started. "Don't let her distract you, you got it?" I remained silent. "Whatever." I made my way to exit as I held the phone up to my ear.

"Hey," she spoke up. "Hi," I responded. "You took long to pick up," she commented. "Ah yeah, it was still in my room, but now I'm on my way", "on your way? Are you walking again?" She upsetly questioned. "No," I chuckled. "I'm taking the bus, like you told me to." I heard her huff a bit. "I wish you good luck for today." I heard her walking. "Wish me that in person", "Better not, we'll see each other after schoo-" I interrupted her too kind sounding voice. "Meet me at my bus stop when I exit. I wanna see you before... I miss you." She didn't respond for a second. "I miss you too." I let my head hang down, preventing people from seeing the big smile spreading across my face. What's this behaviour..I must've really fallen hard. "See? Then we agree. Meet me there." I held the phone away, hanging up on her.

I arrived at the bus stop, only to spot Hana heading into my direction from the other side. I hesitately just sat down, ignoring her presence. "Hey Minho," she quietly greeted, wearing normal clothes. "Aren't you going back to Japan?" I leaned back, not making eye contact. "Yes, that's why I came. I thought you'd be here around his hour. Today is your last time in school, huh?" She took the space left next to me. "Yeah," I responded unbothered. "When you come back home, I'll already be gone." She sighed. "Really, I hope I wouldn't have to burden you anymore, but this isn't a forever good bye." I nodded, speaking up, "We'll always be doing the same, just one country apart." She suddenly held her hand out to me. "I hope we will work well together." I faced her. "And I'm sorry for being so clingy towards you. You know, this wasn't my decision, so stop blaming it on me. I know you never liked me, Taerim is definitely your type. But I still hope that you would, in the future, treat me nicely," she requested. I pressed my lips together, taking her hand. "I must admit that I wouldn't have minded fake dating you though." I let out a scoff. "Whatever, goodbye." I stood up since the bus arrived. "Yeah, good luck, Lee Minho."

I looked out for her, my eyes scanning all my surroundings. Wouldn't she be here just in time? Did she decide not to come? I checked the time. In ten minutes the bell will ring...I ended up giving her a call. Suddenly I heard a phone quietly ring, almost impossible to even notice. I squinted my eyes, spotting her running towards me. Her backpack nearly fell off her shoulders. She was sprinting. How did she manage to come that late? Wasn't she already on her way when she called? As soon as she reached me, she bowed down, breathing out heavily. "Hey, are you okay?" I blinked fast, but she just held up a small bag in return. "What's that?" I questioned, so she stood up straight. Taerim tucked a string of hair behind her ear, having a hint of exhaustion on her face. "Take it." I hesitantly did and took a look inside. "Hey, Taerim, why did you buy that?" My eyes met a few kinds of pastries that she must've just got from the bakery. "Well, you must eat well before you write.. You'll concentrate better that way. Also, it just opened and I walked past it," she explained, avoiding eye contact. "Don't lie. It's ten minutes away from your usual way." I hid my guilty face. "Come on, just say thank you. I don't do those things every day." I was about to complain again, but the way she wasted her time and money just to buy me that, was melting my heart completely. I wrapped one arm around her back, pulling her into a hug. "Thank you Taerim, I appreciate it." The moment lasted for a few seconds before she pulled away. "Now come on, go inside." She patted my arm, signaling me to go. "One kiss," I leaned forward. "Minho, we don't have time for that," she complained. "You haven't kissed me for a week...Or does it take away that much time?"
