"No, I want it in basic white and gold." For the past twenty minutes we couldn't come to an agreement on how to decorate the Christmas tree in the living room. We were pretty much last minute. Christmas was in two days and we only now we're motivated enough to build it up. My parents let us decorate it, I knew well enough how much my mom loved doing it though.
"The basic is red Taerim," he insisted. "Fine, wait." I picked up a red Christmas ball. "We can put that one..at the back," Minho glanced at me. "At this point, we can just leave it." He sat down onto the couch. "Just do it alone. Choose whatever colours you like," I sighed. "Are you pretending to be sulky now?" He squinted his eyes. "I'm not pretending, I really am." I pulled at his sleeve. "Come on, let's do it together. Please." He turned his head to the side, indirectly asking for a kiss onto the cheek. "No," I complained. "I won't make up that way," I deeply exhaled before pecking his cheek.
He weakly smiled, standing up."Alright, now help me."

"The star on the top is left." I picked one from the box. "Can you reach?" He asked. "Help me." I reached out my arms to place it onto the very highest stop. He casually slid his hands under my arms, lifting me up. I was impressed of how he did it so effortlessly, but I wasn't planning on mentioning.
"Turn it on. That's the best part," I said, so he did. It all lit up from one moment to another, making me realise of how beautiful we made it look.
I proudly faced him. "It's so pretty, right?" He nodded, giving me a gentle smile. "You chose great colours." I bowed down, picking up the red ball, and hang it in the very front. "It sets a topic, I think." He huffed in return. "Well, it's definitely something.""Wow kids, you did a great job," Mom praised us. "You think so?" She always decorated it alone, saying she was simply best at it. Now her telling us we did great, felt encouraging. "I made some food. Come on."

My moms eyes continuesly switched in between the both of us. I didn't know if she was waiting to hear how good the food is, or if it maybe was something else she expected me to say. Either ways I went with the first one. "It's good," I commented, which seemed to catch her off guard. "Hm?", "Ah, the food." She smiled. "And you're not eating anything?" Minho asked her. "It's all for you. I'll take what's left eventually." He frowned. "We can't eat all that, please go for it," he insisted.
"Minho, can I ask you something?" He fastly looked up. "Hmm? Yes, of course", "do your parents know you're here? Not only back in the country, but also right here?" Minhos and my eyes met at the same time. He placed his food back down. "I didn't say a word, but at some point they might find out themselves. I'm honest, me and my parents don't have the best relationship." I was surprised that he admitted so easily. My mother's vision slowly lowered. "It's okay, sweetheart, I'm not asking you to have it. I was afraid that maybe, well, they wouldn't like you being here because.." He shook his head. "It's alright. Nothing could happen, I'm taking well care of my relationship with Taerim and I'm not planning on anyone coming in between." I analysed his face, seeing a sign of concern drawn onto it. I grabbed onto his hand under the table, feeling him caressing it with his thumb.

"I somehow never managed to get in the mood for Christmas," I spoke while we sat in a Café. It was nicely and cozy decorated, playing songs which matched the season perfectly. "This year?", "yeah, I don't know. It all went kind of fast that I lost feeling of time," I said. "I hope it continues to go fast for you, because then it won't take too long until I'm back again," he answered. "Let's not talk about that. We still have two weeks left, hm?" He nodded. "Alright, let's not", "have you planned anything though? What we could do?" I supported myself onto my elbows, leaning forward. "Dates?" He smiled innocently, causing me to smile in return. "Sure. Let's go on dates."
