"Thank you," Mi-ho started. "For your hard work," I smiled at her with a frown. "Can't you still continue here? What will you do afterwards?" I asked. She was going to close it soon. She told me she had all the money she needed, and I won't have to help her anymore. "That won't have to be your concern," she assured. "But it is. You grew at me, I really like you," I confessed. "Ugh Taerim, choose yourself someone else." I hugged onto her arm. "Impossible. We're stuck together." A small smile crawled upon her lips, making me obviously proud. "Hey. Invite me for a drink, yeah? As a payback." She sighed before eventually pushing me off. "Fine fine. Go home now."
I'm really not planning on letting her go like that yet. If I wouldn't be too busy I'd try to keep the place open..a few months ago I even wanted to, but I guess things sort up quickly changed up.

"Mom, what's that?" I weirdly tilted my head. "Christmas decoration. The best time of the year is about to come." I shook my head in disbelief. For me it all went so fast that I still felt like summer break just ended. "Might also already buy a Christmas tree," I ironicly suggested. "Good idea." I hated winter. It was cold and the mood felt depressing. You couldn't go out doing fun stuff due to the weather and I honestly never went either. People went on Christmas markets and ice-skating, or just spending quality and especially romantic time during those days. I guess Christmas was considered to be the most romantic time of the year and well, it'll be my first time spending it with him too and I couldn't be more happy about it. Finally I was going to look forward, bad memories can be turned into special ones with the right person.

"Well I'm out." I grabbed my jacket. "Don't get sick. You can't afford that now." She grabbed onto a scarf, tying it around my neck. "A hat as well." I pulled her hand down. "Noo," I whined. "How emberassing. It's not even that cold," I told her, undoing the scarf. "Nah, keep it on. Back then you also didn't care about looks." I let her redo it. "And you also didn't care if I would get sick or not," I said. "That's not true. You just were too stubborn to convince", "Still am."

"You look good, Taerim," Mrs. Lee commented while I sat down across her. This time, it was an ordinary café, which honestly shocked me. Before, I had to make sure I was heading to the right address.
"Thanks." Even though she got me into this and somehow takes care of a few things, we haven't talked in a while. "Things work great, am I right?" I slowly nodded,"assume so", "Things go as promised. Your follower number is at 20 thousands, you already topped Mira. Do people in school now treat you differently?" I sighed, leaning into the chair. "I mainly talk with my best friend, I don't pay too much attention. Also, I don't care anymore, those people aren't in my interest." I stopped for a moment. "There will always be people who hate, I can't prevent it." She weakly smiled. "You understood it fastly," I shook my head. "It's always been this way. Even before," I held up my hand. "Sorry, can I order something?" She already got something before I came, so I decided to just get myself something.
"You became pretty confident," she noticed. "You used to look." She hummed. "Well, kind of afraid of me." Because I literally was. I knew how much power she held, or still holds. With one snap she could ruin everything I had. She chose the other way though. "Minho and I still are happily together," I said. It was her goal, wasn't it? She knew he hated such career, the one I was taking. She also signed me up for this underwear photoshoot.. She tried everything for him to see me differently.
She took a sip of her coffee with an eye smile. She slowly placed it down again. "I know that.. I knew you two weren't that easy to part. Not even from miles apart." I smiled to myself. "He will maybe run the company you model for..but your life style will go to different places. You might not like to hear it, but you'll only be a distraction for each other. I let you two do how much you wanted, but at the end you need to realise that you two will live each other apart. You're gonna be busy, so will he. And do you know what? As soon as it comes out you're dating him, you could even get fired...Just like that. As fast as you're in, you can be out again. One wrong move and everything is ruined. That's the business you ran into with so much confidence. But congratulations, I think it really suits you what you're doing currently. Do you really wanna give that all up just to be with him who will rarely find time for you?" My nails pressed into my flesh. "You'll only burden him. Realise it. There is no love life in his future that isn't connected with business purposes." My jaw was tensing, but no matter how mad I looked..my hands were sweaty. Her words made me anxious of choices I took or will take.
My gaze into her was interrupted by a cup being placed in front of me. "Thank you," I pressed on a small smile.
