(Smut warning)

Serena cooked dinner while Grace held a tea party, the only guests being her toys. Jefferson was sitting at his work desk, sewing together a bunny for Grace. He felt bad that he couldn't get her the toy, so he wanted to make it up to her.

Once he finished the last few details, he walked over to where Grace was sitting and set down the toy in front of her. She smiled at the bunny while Jefferson held his breath, hoping she would like it.

"I know it's not the same as what you wanted."

"I love it, Papa." She smiled and placed a tea cup in front of the bunny. "Thank you." Serena smiled, seeing the way Jefferson's face lit up at Grace's approval. She took a sip of the imaginary tea. "Mmm! This is really good, Mama. Don't you think so, Mr. Tortoise?"

"I'm glad you like it, sweetie." Serena kissed the top of her head and sat down next to her. Jefferson shifted uncomfortably in his seat, knowing Serena was going to kill him for what he was going to say.

"Papa, do you like your tea?"

He paused with a sigh. "Grace, I want you to go to the neighbors for a while. I need to talk to your mom, then I have to work."

"Can't we come with you?" Grace asked, her smile dropping. "I like being with you in the forest."

"I'm not going to the forest, sweetie." He shook his head, glancing over at Serena. She had a disappointed look on her face, her lips pressed in a thin line.

"This has to do with the Queen's visit, doesn't it?" When he didn't answer, she continued. "Whatever she wants you to do, don't do it!"

"Grace, I have to." He sighed, standing up and crouching down next to her. "I want you and your mom to have what you need."

"All we need is you, Papa. Please stay." She begged before he picked her up and walked over to the door.

"Come here. I know." He hugged the girl close, knowing how dangerous the job could be. "I'm sorry, baby, I have to go."

"Just promise me you'll come back." She looked up at him as he set her on the ground. "You have to promise." He grabbed her coat and wrapped her up in it.

"Of course."

"For our tea party." She smiled softly, making his heart swell. "Promise?"

"I promise." He gave her a reassuring smile and bent down to look her in the eyes. "I wouldn't miss it for the world." He kissed her forehead, keeping her as close as possible. He then opened the door for her, so he could have a moment alone with Serena. "Go."

Serena stayed quiet as he watched as Grace ran towards the neighbors, making sure she got there safely. Once she got there, he sighed and turned to Serena.

"Did you tell her to say that we only need each other?" He asked, walking over to her. She shrugged with an innocent smile before the seriousness of the situation set in. "I'll be back soon, I promise."

"I hope you're right." She sighed, looking down at her hands. He walked over to her, crouching down next to her and resting a hand on her shoulder.

"Smile, princess. Your beautiful face in my mind is going to be the only thing stopping me from killing Regina." He was half-joking, half-serious. She just shook her head, not in the mood for his jokes. He rolled his eyes and kissed her jaw, moving down to her neck.

"What are you doing?"

"It might be a while. I want the image of us at the front of my mind." He hummed, sitting on the floor and pulling her into his lap. He lifted her skirt and pulled down her panties, his thumb sliding across her soft skin.
