TW: Mentions of domestic violence and cheating.
You stormed into your building and up the stairs as fast as your feet would carry you. You should be in tears, crying and screaming at the man running up the stairs behind you. Instead, you were angry, but not at the fact your relationship was over, but simply because you had wasted a year of your life on him. Aiden's feet echoed behind you as you reached your apartment door. You abruptly turned to face him.
"Stop following me you asshole! I told you we're over, what doesn't your tiny brain comprehend about that statement."
"We aren't fucking over, Y/n. That girl meant nothing."
"Oh, like the last one or the one before that? I can't believe I was ever stupid enough to take you back! This is the last time you cheat on me, Aiden. Listen carefully. We. Are. Done."
You turned to shove your key into your door when you were twisted around and shoved against the hardwood. Aiden gripped your arms painfully and moved until he was mere inches from your face. His lips twisted into a sickening grin.
"No, you listen. I always get what I want and I still want you, Y/n. This isn't over until I say it is. Now let's go into your apartment and talk about this in private, not where your whole damn complex can hear us."
You push against him, trying to fight out of his grip. His hands moved to your wrists and pinned them against the door next to your face. A whimper escaped your lips as his hot breath fanned over your face.
"Let me go!" You yelled, hoping someone would hear and come to see what the ruckus was.
"Open the damn door. Let me show you how much you mean to me, baby." Aiden's voice was dangerously low and it made a shiver run up your spine as his knee parted your legs and pressed against you.
His eyes were almost black as he stared down at you. The thought of ever having his hands on you, the hands that were currently causing you pain, made your stomach turn. You had never been scared of Aiden, but then again, he had never put his hands on you before.
"You're hurting me, Aiden!" One more scream and maybe someone would finally hear you.
His hands tightened on your wrists and you knew there would be marks tomorrow. Aiden opened his mouth to speak, but he was cut off by an angry voice.
"What the hell do you think you're doing, asshole?"
You looked over to see your very pissed off neighbor, Bucky, storming towards Aiden followed closely by his roommate Steve. Aiden shot him a dirty look.
"This doesn't concern you, so fuck off." Aiden spat.
Your eyes locked with Bucky's as he kept stalking towards you. Your panicked expression made it clear that you were scared. Bucky's hand landed on Aiden's shoulder and he squeezed hard enough to make Aiden flinch. Bucky wrenched Aiden back which made him drop his hold on you. Steve quickly moved to pull you behind him and out of view of Aiden.
"Do you want him to leave?" Steve asked softly, looking over his shoulder at you.
You nodded your head as you rubbed your aching wrists, then whispered a yes.
"Time to go, asshole." Bucky stated as he dragged Aiden towards the stairs.
Bucky's large frame made Aiden look tiny compared to the muscled man who was playing your knight in shining armor. Aiden took one look around Bucky to try and look at you. Steve kept his body firmly placed in front of you, blocking you from Aiden's view. Both Bucky and Steve were glaring at the smaller man. Aiden scowled and then started down the stairs with a scoff.
