Giggling. That's the last thing you remember hearing before the door to the apartment slammed shut. Well, that and Steve shouting after you to come back. You knew he'd follow you, so you ran down the stairs and got out of the building as fast as you could. Blending into the traffic on the sidewalk, you made your way down the street wandering aimlessly as tears clouded your vision.

~

Bucky had brought another woman back to the apartment. You and Steve were watching a movie when he stumbled through the door with a brunette on his arm. His laughter died down when he saw you sitting on the couch with Steve. He thought you were going out with Nat and Wanda tonight. Instead here you were, sitting on his and Steve's couch instead.

The thought of you dancing with other men, having their hands on you, letting them kiss you, made him physically ill. If he had known you were coming over, he never would've even gone to the bar. He would've been on the couch with you and Steve, ignoring the movie and watching you instead. Bucky shrunk under your stare as he stood by the door looking at you. He scowled when Steve wrapped his arm around you, drawing your attention away from him.

"Mind keeping it down, Buck. We're trying to watch a movie." Steve said firmly.

Steve's hand fell to your waist and tugged you closer to him. He knew how you felt about Bucky and that seeing him bring another woman home had to be killing you. He was seconds away from hopping off the couch and telling Bucky himself that you were in love with him, but it wasn't his place. If you didn't want Bucky to know then he would keep your secret. Steve saw a tear trickle down your cheek as you kept your face turned away from Bucky.

"Yeah. Sure, pal." Bucky grunted. "Come on, babydoll."

You choked back a sob as you heard Bucky call the brunette the name that he had only ever called you. Bucky pulled the woman behind him towards his room. When you heard his door shut, no slam, you sprung up off the couch and grabbed your coat and purse.

"Hey, where are you going?" Steve asked as he scrambled after you.

"Out. I-I can't listen to them, Steve."

A loud giggle, followed by a moan, pierced the air and you winced.

"I'll come with you." Steve said as he reached for his coat.

"I want to be alone. Just let me know when she's gone."

You opened the door and hurried into the hallway.

"Y/n! Wait!" Steve yelled. "Don't leave!"

The door shut with a loud thump and Steve pinched the bridge of his nose, sighing loudly. His hand reached for the doorknob as he started after you, but Bucky's voice stopped him.

"Could you two keep your lovers spat down a bit? I have a guest." Bucky said, coldly.

Steve rounded on him, cheeks flushed with anger. Bucky was standing behind him shirtless with his arms crossed and eyes narrowed.

"You're a fucking idiot!" Steve roared.

"Excuse me?" Bucky's arms dropped to his sides and his fists clenched.

"You're a fucking idiot." Steve repeated.

"What the hell is your problem?"

"You are! You're either fucking oblivious or you really don't give a shit, I haven't figured out which yet." Steve yelled.

"What the hell are you talking about?"

"Do you really not see it or do you enjoy hurting Y/n?" Steve asked, advancing on Bucky.
